i came across a music blog and decided to listen to some stuff. but, in response to your question, i've found that once a band gets enough exposure in the music blogosphere it seems like they're big for a few months and then after a while some people's opinions on the group wanes.
i'm not like that. if i like a group, there is a high chance that i'm going to like them a year later or probably more. i might listen to some bands less than when i originally got into them but i always seem to come back to them and end up listening to them non-stop for a few days and so on.
