11:05 Late Thursday Morning   What to Do I was all excited today cos i knew what was going to do in the lab, and now i can't even find anything. i have my soil, i have the mortar and pestal, but I can't for the life of me find that stupid sieve. it's not in the cupboard marked sieves. i looked. i'm pissed. GARGHADRGH. in happier news, Mr H fixed my hydroponics system, and it is now bubbling quite happily. hopefully no more of my roots die!! I learned today why that happens. I didn't know that roots needed oxygen, I thought they used energy from the leaves' photosynthesising. I was wrong, that energy and oxygen created by photosynthesis doesn't get carried into the roots except for in a few kinds of plants, and so they die..causing the plant to die. crazy. I wish I'd known that before, ha. I guess it just shows how completely unqualified I am for this job.
