Feeling: sane
11:18 Saturday Morning   A Fantasy Week in a Fantasy Paradise The best part about it is that it was real. New Zealand is honestly the most beautiful place I've ever been. Not that I've been around much, but wow. A week with Caleb. and family, but ... five days with him was amazing. Monday we left at 8:15ish, went to Blenheim and had pb&j sandwiches and mcdonald's french fries for lunch. We got to the little bach on the bay around 2 p.m. or so. Wandered around to the beach (which was rocky, muddy, and definitely not swimming friendly; but very cool because of all the snails and seastars and little crabs and shells and etc) to be for a few hours. That evening, Caleb and I kicked Chelsea and Mom's trash at pictionary. it was so fun! Just because Caleb and I can read each other's minds... Tuesday i woke up and had brekkie, then went for a ride in a row boat with my sister, daddy, and Caleb. It was fun. I learned how to row. Yay. The rest of the day we just chilled out. Wednesday I woke up and walked across the hall to Caleb's room and crawled into bed with him just to cuddle. Wednesday we went to the Queen Charlotte Track for a walk. After that, Caleb and I took the rowboat out and turned into space pirates and discovered a new planet. :) When we went home we filled up the spa bathtub, put on swimsuits, and relaxed there for about 45 minutes until dinner. kissing in water is really cool. :D After dinner we had a wonderful time talking and stuff. It was amazing. Thursday same routine, except instead of going to the queen charlotte track, we just went to the beach to look around some more. Then we went rowing again, put the boat back on the trailer thingy to be picked up because we left on friday. Thursday evening after dinner, though, we took another spa bath, and filled it with rose petals and that was fun. very american beauty, only less creepy. We were in that tub, just talking and relaxing and things for 2 and a half hours. like, we went in at 8:30 and didn't come out until 11. Friday morning i woke caleb up from his nightmare and we cuddled until we had to get up to clean things because we left the bach at 10:30 that morning. We drove to picton and had lunch there. Bernard was there! it was so fun. I had a collection of seagulls. After lunch we went to Blenheim and Chelsea, Caleb, and I wandered around the town centre for an hour and a half. Then we went to Kaikoura for tea. On our way to Kaikoura, I was looking out the window at the ocean and couldn't help thinking that, wow, This is probably the last time i'll see this stretch of the ocean. I started crying, because that led me to be thinking about all the things i'm going to miss when i leave. ARGH. And of course that stupid boy has to realise im crying and has to comfort me and hold me and not ask what's wrong because he knows it will only make me cry harder...what'd i do to deserve this sort of treatment? Did I save the universe from some unknown horrible entity or something? anyway after kaikoura, we finally went home again. The milky way was beautiful. Caleb and I leaned our heads back to see out the back window and invented constellations. Then a car came up behind us and the headlights blotted a lot of it out. And the closer we got to the city, the less of the milky way we could see. oh well. We finally got home after about an hour and a half. Caleb stayed for a while until 11 p.m. when daddy drove him home which was just as well because i was feeling ill. probably just sad because soon i'll be landlocked again. Anyway. so now i'm back. i wanna go shopping for souvenirs today. maybe. I'm not sure what I'll be able to get due to my limited packing space. i might just have to get a bunch of postcards or something. :( my poor buddies have befriended a cheap-o with no luggage space. anyway... Right now I'm listening to Skook's "Da Bomb" and it reminds me hardcore of hanging out with Katherine last summer. YAY! I have a Katherine! and she's da bomb! Aaaah i am sad. i am very sad.
