Feeling: calm
11:45 Late Friday Night   The Feeling of Beauty One of the things that i hate most about here is that everyone else's supposed morals and stipulations are projected onto me, whether i believe in them or not. I wore my red sundress today. It is strapless and I felt like a whore almost because people kept looking at me. Lots of women shot me very scathing looks. they were met with pity. I wish i could feel comfortable going out in clothes that i look good in. this is not against Mormons, particularly, but rather against majorities of any kind. It isn't really fair to force our morals on anyone... even if we think they're wrong, unless they're mistreating people who want to be free... we should stay out of their business. if everyone is the same, the world is boring. So it is the Muslim way of life for women to cover up and men to be dominant. as long as the women aren't complaining, or being abused, I don't really see the problem. So it is the Mormon way of life to dress "modestly" and "follow" the Word of Wisdom as described inone of their special books...I'm not going to stop them as long as they are happy with that. The problem lies when interference happens...usually with good intention, but often with not so good result. looking at me like i'm some sort of a slut because i'm okay with showing my shoulders; i'm really quite covered up actually. My dad said that he'd be fine with being the most conservative person in a place, but not with being the most liberal (then moved to Logan). I asked him why he said that, and he said because conservatives wnat you to be like them and liberals just want you to leave them alone. Hahahahhahahaa, lately...liberals are the new conservatives. the US is not a particularly liberal country, but the majority of us are more liberal than some, and majorities like to push their ideas and standards (often in an unwelcome way) onto everyone else. I'm just trying to say... let's stop hating each other. I'm just trying to say it in a very roundabout way. I need to stop complaining.

I kinda know what you mean in a roundabout way. Except when people stare at me it's because I'm brown not white like everyone else in utah. :)
