Feeling: misunderstood
"Baby, lay on back and relax, kick your pretty feet up on my dash.

No need to go nowhere fast, let's enjoy right here where we at,
Who knows where this road is supposed to lead.

We got nothing but time.

As long as you're right here next to me, everything's gonna be alright.
If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be,

Baby, just let it be.

If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be.

Baby, just let it be.
Maybe we do
Maybe we don't
Maybe we will
Maybe we won't
But if it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be.
Baby, just let it be."

People around here can't just have fun together anymore.

There's always some obession with the future: marriage, kids, careers, schooling and the person they are (on a date) with seems to talk to them about those things as if they are person that will make those dreams come true or at least come along for the ride. No pressure.

We all have those hopes and dreams. We don't need the pressure of talking about something we can't change. Or the pressure of being "the person" to make those dreams come true for someone else.

Let's just have fun. Together. Here. In the now.

Just relax guys. Enjoy the moment.

"Why you have to go and make things so complicated?"

Meanwhile, I have a date tonight.

He's an extrovert and total intellect.

So he talks a lot and I don't understand half of it.

I don't see this working out....

But he leaves for his PhD in August so it won't last long.

I'd rather have the talk a lot person compared to the boys that don't say anything....

I'd rather have the intellect super smart person with goals in life than the kid that shows up in his mothers car who just got his license that week.

Although the concept of his rich daddy paying for his PhD (I'm guessing) is kind of the same concept of the kid still living with mom and using her car... I was the in the mist of these thoughts when we got around to the subject of girls marrying guys just for their money and he asked me if I would that. I think I hestiated or paused too long....

Not that I can be very picky nowadays...

His first impression when we first met he said "You're really nice, by the way"

So we seemed to have some sort of miscommunication from the get go, if he thinks I'm nice.

He asked me out cuz he thought I was younger than him I bet. Surprise!

He doesn't get my snarky comments, or at least doesn't respond well to them.

He says nice things all the time and I can't seem to reciprocate.

I suck at effective, positive communication.

Tad called me "cheeky" the other day. Nice words.

I use words like "smart ass", not "cheeky".

Been back from Hawaii for a week now.

Beaches, sun, humidity, airplanes, layovers, and delays, Aulani Lagoon, snorkeling, the North Shore, loco moco, Turtle Bay, Dole Plantation, dole whip!, pineapples!, malasadas, Polynesian Culture Center, sea urchins, church, pictures, temple, Waikiki shopping, Sealife Park, and more beaches!

I think we wore out our welcome tho. It was time to go. I think it was good tho. Just enough time. Mum kept asking if any of our activities were inside. Pff. It's Hawaii, everything is outdoors. Even the church house wasn't entirely inside...

I bought a jacket in Hawaii to take home. I couldn't wear one in Hawaii, but I knew I'd freeze when I got home to the dry air. Church was the coldest I had ever been in Hawaii. Its so quiet here, without the windows open all the time and noisy neighbors. My hair has a total different personality here back home. I feel like I need to eat something all the time or be at least cooking, as we were feeding 10 ppl each meal for more than a week. I left nothing in the fridge and had a hard time convincing myself to shop when I got back. The highest speed limit in Oahu might be 55, usually 35mph, here I'm cruising on the freeway at 70mph. I think I might've gone nocturnal.

The boss made a point of saying he missed me. He never says this. Another attorney said he asked for computer help a lot while I was gone. He says I spoil the boss.

I saw a mouse today in the office.

He really sounds like a bit superficial, you don't. Make the best out of it or save your time :)

Hawaii sounds like a great place to be. I hope i can be there one day aswell. So now you're the Nerd on work and the boss misses you and your skills. Time to extinct the rolodex, Eh?
Be happy that you are so wanted! All sounds good to me except that you're talking dirty, 'smart butt'.
