Feeling: strange

February 5, 2011

Happy Birfday Braxton boy! The big ol' awkward 7 years old.

For your bday party we went to the Sports Academy and played in their tumbling/gymnastics room. Lots of trampolines and soft landing areas so there was a lot of jumping off things. There was a zipline too, kind of an odd place for it, but whatev. You had yer cousins there. All of yer uncle Jake and Katies kids. I think they have five kids, I dont remember all their names. Then yer uncle Luke brought his little girl, Emma? You had yer lil bro of course and we pulled a couple teeth and got Scott to come too! Kinda fun. Hayden couldn't make it. Of course you had yer Grandma and Grandpa L. there, me, yer mom and yer uncle Dallin showed up too. Yer uncle Jake tried to do the arcrobat like stuff on the gymnastic bars...he was a lil' too..plump.

I felt like I was playing football and charging those like...bodybags that the football players pratice ..tackling. Anyway, Scott being a big 10 is not the easiest thing to push up the zipline and back down again. You have to push/run with them down the zip line to get a good speed to make it to the mat, kinda tiring. It was easier with the smaller kids, thas fo' sure. But a good exercise. Running on those softer surfaces really kind hurt alot, used a lot of muscles I didn't know I had. Anyways. Tumbled for an hour and then went upstairs and had cake and icecream, opened presents, and played some games (duck duck goose) and had a treasure hunt. Yer not the most social or game playing child I know, but you handled it very well if I do say so. This family isn't much into having lots of attention and bday parties, but you did well with the attention!

You got a kid proof camera that you seem to enjoy muchly I noticed. Then some action figures/toys and I recall a whole navy base that houses the jets, don't remember what they are called. I think you were excited about that.

Oh by the way, Grandma L. totally spoiled you that day.

o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o

To the 7yr old who told me I couldn't go to his next bday cuz I wouldn't spoil him as much as Grandma did on that -one- day.

To the boy who refuses almost everything to begin with until he understands the situation a lil' more.

To the boy who is taller and skinnier than anyone else in his class and prolly the only white kid.

To the boy who adores lil' girls and wishes for a lil' sister but has difficulties with his lil bro.

To the boy who whines mostly when his mother is around.

To the boy who is intelligent if you can get him to stop mumbling and being anxious/whiny.

To the boy with no front teeth...and losing more.

To the boy who currently has a tooth shaped like a hook.

To the boy who is learning to read and write in time to write to his father in bootcamp.

To the boy who is excellent at tattling.

To the boy who has that epic smile if you can ever catch it just in time.

To the boy who is super tan and is almost never cold.

To the boy moving to CA and leaving his dog with me.

To the boy who is just like his mother.

To the boy who hasn't changed much since the last time I wrote on his bday...
