Listening to: Papa Roach - Forever
Feeling: accomplished

So I finally got to see my cuzin in the wonderful state of ID.

Some people preach about religion. She preaches about ID and its scenery and peaceful life.

Thursday and Friday were UEA weekend and the boss went to DisneyLand so I decided to take my own lil' vacation.....to ID. Thursday I drove to Logan and picked up my dresses hoping to sell at a dress shop in Rigby. (HA) and then Friday morning I drove to Rigby! I entered the house and was greeted by a giant deer on their kitchen table being cut up into little sections and labeled "steak". I pretended to help in the packaging of the deer part, but not whole heartedly. My cuz Jordan got him the day before. Tis the season to hunt I suppose.

Then I got ahold of the dress shop and attempted to sell my dress. No luck. They went on a unnecessary trip. Then I got ahold of Kirri in Rexburg and told her I was coming! I found their place, it was easy, we looked it up on google map before I went. They had pumpkin ice cream. I am SO buying some. They have a cute little place they spend next to nothing on. We went out to eat cuz I was starving. I hadn't eaten since that morning and it was nearing 4pm. Applebees! Again. mwhaha. They did the 2 for 20 so I didn't feel bad for making them pay. We stopped by the potato...shop and they picked up potatoes to bring to family in UT. haha. I got the true ID experience! I feeell like I'm in ID! Oh and conversation was so easy with her as I explain my recent dating issues. I feel so much younger than her talking about boy problems and she's married. Oy.

Then they gave me a drive by tour of BYU campus since I've never seen a BYU campus and I live...inbetween both of them. It was a lot smaller than I thought. Bigger than Snow, but smaller than SLCC, but SLCC depends on which campus. I dunno. Weird. The dorms were literally across the street and the community/married housing was just down the hill. I didn't see any problem having to walk the whole campus to get to another class. But I'm sure ppl still complain. Lots of boys in suits I noticed, even on bicycles as if they were still on a mission. Very beautiful ppl there. I wanted to shout out the window, hey hot stuff you want a date tonight?. mwhaha. Blame the hormones mmk.

They told me that Colby was going to attend BYU I-Do also. Warning to every human on campus, RUN! The sweet dear will drive Kirri and her hubby mad and maybe to the point of bickering that might end in death! Not to mention the driving mad of others that have to live with him or be in class with him. I drove my sister mad moving away from home and not having a car to go home in. I'm not sure why he wants to go to BYU. He gets totally catered to and spoiled living with his mother, but its nice he's actually getting out I just dont think he'll ....survive nor the others around him. Poor Kirri. But she IS a good example.

Then I went back to Karas and they had Subway and I finished my noodles and we watched TV and went for a walk in which a boy named Aaron joined us. Aaron was Karas date this week. He's an actual mormon gentlemen. Shock that she dated him and shock that she hasn't killed him yet for opening doors and saying nice things etc. Definitely not who she's used to dating for sure. But the difference between the bad boys who treat her like shit and the good boys that are nice is frankly scaring her away. I dont blame her. I feel the same. I think I'm going to have the same scared feeling about a good boy in the future simply cuz I'm not used to it.

Saturday we woke up and went for a walk around Cress Creek. Keep in mind ID doesn't really have mountains...so we went for a hike around a hill. :D We walked along the creek and river and went to the bridge where the trains crosses the river. It seemed like a forever walk along the river. The actual hill wasn't that bad, you could stop and read stuff and sit on a bench and get an overview of the...fields. It was pritti. They only had green and yellow colors tho so far for this fall. Lame. But the bridge was awesome. It would be awesome to see a train go through it in any time of year. Kara brought her friend and she brought her giant dog. The thing was like a horse. Seriously. But Zeus was just a big ol' teddy bear! I could handle a dog that big, but maybe not that strong...a more scrawny dog. Zeus was kinda pudgy/fat/meaty and could take you down with more than his height. He went into the creek and got all wet and then got into the car. Ew. That was a long freaking walk and my feet hurt so bad they refuse to pick up anymore. It was about 2-3 hours of walking. It was a nice walk, but I was glad when it was over. I so was hungry too. I could eat a big giant hamburger.

So we went shopping with Gay and she bought stuff for spaghetti and hamburgers cuz we couldnt decide what to eat. Apparently all food decisions were the guests. Pff. Gay bought a bag of chocolate too. mmmm. Kara is spoiled in that house. We had spaghetti and refused to move or leave the house the rest of the night. Aching pains. Feet hurt. Kara usually goes for walks at night, but no way I was going to walk anymore. Nuh uh. That was the eventful Saturday.

It seemed like every couple of hours Kara would ask if I was having fun, if it was worth it, sorry it wasnt so eventful, blah blah. I think she really wanted to make a good impression or something. I couldn't respond as enthusatically as she wanted after the 50th time. "I'm having a GREAT time!" It felt like because I didn't share her enuthasim about ID and its total awesomeness it meant I wasn't have a good time and didn't think it was worth my time. I wonder if she's ever thought that I didn't come to hear all about how great and beautiful ID is compared to UT, but I came to see her and hear about her because I love ...her and not ID.

Sunday we slept and slept. I keep falling asleep to movies late at night. They have dishtv or something and they get movies on all the time, kinda fun. We ate breakfast and went for a drive. She took me to the Elk Farms. Apparently elk are in farms also. It was so cool tho to actually see one up close and alive. I looked at a picture I had on my phone and it looked exactly like the elk I was looking at. They were laying down and some were eating and then there were two on the hill actually running and one was bugling or whatever. So cool. Sounds just like Claines elk calls he makes with his thinger. Huge antlers. man oh man. Have to admit that was cool. Saw volcanoe like hills and some of Karas favorite places to sit and relax or camp. It was a fun drive. I like the way she drives and the scenery reminded me as if I were out in Trenton or Newton out that way. Backroads, high speeds and fields everywhere.

We came home and ate hamburgers. Yum yum. Then we loaded up the guns that Kara and Gay were going hunting with next week and took them out for a spin and siting practice. Gay shot both her guns once and was dead on and said "Well, I'm done siting the scope" She says she shot more than she usually does to site in a scope. hah. I shot her .33 and Karas gun. Kara was being a baby about the whole shooting thing. All the inconviences were messing her up. Well gee, we'll ask the deer if he'd stand out of the sun for a minute so she can take 5 minutes to site him and shoot him, yeah? But we took a lot of fun pictures of us together while we were out there. She sent me some. I'd post them if I knew how.

By then it was around 6pm, just the time I told them I should prolly head out to get home at a decent hour. So I left around 6:30 and drove like 2.5 hours to UT border and was suprised it took another hour to get to Brigham once passing the border going that fast on the freeway anyway, and then I was in familiar territory and drove like another hour home. It was weird passing all the exits to all my homes. There's home #1 exit, home #2 exit, and look there's my other home exit. Where am I going again? Oh right.

I came home and showered, emptied the dishwasher, sure enough it hadn't moved the few days I was gone, and I ate breakfast and went to bed. mwhaha. To be clean again. I was proud. I went on an ID trip and I didn't freak out completely. It was fun to be in Karas element and hear her stories. And she was totally different with me one and one than she usually is being around Asha. It was awesome. Usually she's so sarcastic to the point she's not real anymore and always pulling pranks and being paranoid and whiny, but with me, just me, she was real and we could talk about anything.

I lub mah Kara girl.
