Listening to: Yellowcard - Powder
Feeling: fatigued

A busy weekend that started out with a long drive to Wally World to get ice cream and some cute pants to fit my fat butt. I visited Dallin and felt like I made it all awkward and then I went to Moms work and made that all awkward and then I just went home.

Mom and Dad just got back from a full week at Girls camp down in Heber. Pff. Kinda jealous. The camp that Hinckley dedicated just for girls. They are nice facilities. You can only camp for a full week if you have showers and water of course. But they were all tired and needed a break and they just kept going through the weekend.

We went up to Grandpa Laws. About 3 people thought about visiting him and got the rest of us to run up there on short notice. Me, ma and pa went up. Diana and Sheri went ..down and RaeAnn and Randy went ...down. It worked out really well. I guess it was ment to be. And we had a semi-surprise visit for Grandpa. I gave Grandpa my puzzle of birds I made for him. We brought food and ate and talked. I love just listening to them.

Then we ran home to try to make it to other things. Nobody wanted to go to town with me so I went alone. I ran to the mall and got a Twilight jacket. I'm not really a fan, I just needed a jacket and its the only one I found. And then I looked for a type of brief case for dad. He said how much stuff he wanted/needed in town, but he refused to go with me. Pff. Fine, I'll do it myself.

Then I ran over to the Festival and found Eric Dowdle puzzles. Eee. A recent facsination with puzzles. I bought one for Grandma Spencer. I've learned I don't really appreciate 500 piece puzzles, so I'll just hand it to her and tell her to do it. It definitely won't be a surprise cuz I'd need her help to do it. I think I like 100 piece puzzles.

Then after walking around in hurty shoes all day I decided to eat and go home. Mum called and was looking for the same type of briefcase thing I was and I told her I already found one. The price range she found was ridiculous. I went over to Kmart and bought one for $25. By then my food place was closed. Bugger.

My feet ached, I poked a hole in my toe from that stupid chair mat, and I totally pulled a muscle in my shoulder reaching my back seat, I was hungry, and I had been driving all day. I was tired and ornery and in pain. I finally crumpled and looked at my mom and said "Would you just fit me?" Mums lack of emotion/empathy worries me. I took a hot shower and ate ice cream while watching the zombie box. Lovely end.

Sunday, June 20, 2010 HAPPY FATHERS DAY

We went to church.... we watched Dad mule over girls camp as if he was still stuck there mentally and wanted everyone else to be there too. Kinda weird seeing him conduct. They kind of have a small ward now that they all scattered.

Came home and ate food, took a nap, and went up the canyon to eat Dutch oven with Dustin and his crew. He made chicken and potatoes. I'm not one for chicken, but whatever he put on it made it soo much better. Yum yum. Grandma would've liked that meal. We made fun of muddy Billy and Scott. Watched Dad run off with a baby girl while me and mom tried to convince Dallin and Loryn to come with us to St. George to see CATS.

Now I'm on this vacation kick. Planning a trip to St. George for CATS and Zions Park and the like. I'm excited. I shall be a tourist in my own state! I want to see CATS so bad! I don't know about traveling with those guys tho.... wasn't so lovely last time. Dallins only conversation was "Yes dear" and then a whispered "sorry" to the backseat to me. Seriously, my siblings all whine that I'm spoiled with my job and pay and such but they won't take advantage when I say "hey, I'm going to st. george, you want a free trip?" I can't even brib my own family with money to play with me.

Well I decided to take my trip back home at 11:30pm. Pritti much the middle of the night I was driving through the canyon. I was determined to be alert, look for deer and keep my speed down and I sure did. There is one corner I always look for deer when I go up the canyon and there it was standing on the side of the road, head pointed in the direction of going across the street in front of me. Freaked me out. They don't look at you so you can't see their eyes you just see this massive body on the side of the road as you get closer, and thats with me diligently looking!

Then closer to Mantua or whatever I found three of them just standing on the side of the road. Two looked like they were just walking along the side of the road and one just stopped and stared at cars, the whole deer in the headlights look, with big ol' ears standing straight up. They looked young, they looked cute, but they were too close to the road. But that one was just so curious....

Most of the time I spot deer and they don't move, but they are so close to the road and they could run in front of you at any time. Like one time I was driving to Grandpa Laws house and got around this corner by the abandoned school and a huge elk was just standing in the road. It just turned and looked at me, but didn't move so I like...slid by a lil' too fast cuz I couldn't slow fast enough and hoped there was only one. Just b/c one doesnt jump out in front of ya doesn't mean the one behind it or down the road that you cant see wont jump so you really have to slow down. Even 30 mph is too fast to hit a deer. Where there's one there's usually more. Anyway, I felt I almost died but saw some beautiful creatures at the same time.

And today, on this lovely official first day of summer, I am determined to stay awake until at least 5:30pm!
