Feeling: lethargic

Night #7 Monday - White Maze/ghost

A nice relaxing Monday. Nothing much to do at work. Playin DS... doing some random documents here and there. Cold weather to eat nice hot soup in. mmmm My head a lil woozy from the rain and the sinuses exploding, but still standing.

At the show tonight we were, as usual, understaffed. It was a lot more relaxing atmosphere tho with lack of newbies and crowds of people to attend to. We were mostly all regulars and knew what we were doing and just waiting around. I'm glad I started on a Monday and not a weekend.

I was choosing either the insanity hall or the white maze. I didn't know if I could handle strobes cuz my head was already woozy and for some reason I felt nausea most of the day, usually I just get a headache. So I decided the White Maze. A maze of white sheets basically. I dress in all white (white cape) and a white mask cuz I didn't...wanna wear make up and the mask is scarier anyway. I have giant zits from so much make up the past week. :(

The mask wasn't bad. It refrained me from speaking or screaming all night which was okay I guess. Sometimes silent, noisy, curious followers are scary. It was kinda hard to work that room. I kept wishing there was a ...sheet door at an angle from the door they entered so I could come at them from an angle. I only had the two sides I could pop out from or just stand in front of the door when they entered. I totally failed at timing when standing in front of the door. So I usually hid my whole body behind a sheet and peeked my head/mask out and stared in their direction and waited to see if they saw me and then I'd walk away and find them somewhere else in the maze. In my opinion, when I tilt my head a bit while wearing the mask, its kinda...creepy and makes me look curious (like dogs do). I learned you can't follow them cuz they dont ever look back so I'd have to take a run past them at their side which...doesn't really work often.

The thing with ppl being lost in sheets is they are swinging their arms all around lifting sheets and sometimes, depending on height, you don't know where they are going to push the sheets. I mean, I -know- all my rooms. I know where ppl are and I know where they are going next and I know when someone enters or leaves my room. But when I'm following or meeting up with someone I can't predict which side of the sheet they open or how high up they reach which results in some whacks every once in awhile. I got bumped into a lot. Its super hard NOT to touch the costumers in such a situation. And I got whacked in the face/mask twice also by two different girls. Tear, fix mask, move on.

It was a lot better night b/c you didn't have nearly as many stupid ppl and it was a slow night and I didn't have to interact with them at all, and being quiet in a maze results in lack of stupid comments also. They said you could run around in the maze, which would be cool, but you only need to go a few steps ahead of them and you lose 'em and have to double back to sneak up on 'em. So I simply walked around for 3 hours in silence and in all white. I got a few screams at the door. I got a few screams in the maze itself when they entered and didnt know anyone was in there. But other than that just those 'intruding my bubble" looks and the ones that backed away from me and/or hid behind someone.

It was super cold going into the house and super cold leaving. Only in the maze was it warm enough and even then I used the cape. One of the actors, Brian I think is his name, he seems to have an obvious...liking of me. He invited me to Pub and Grub with him the first night we met. I curled up tired and cold on the couch til action time and he came over and talked and talked every once in awhile he'd touch me or rub my back for a minute. O.o Everytime he talks I can't help but stare at his teeth, they are so...gross. It looks like he's been smokin crack or meth or something for far too long. And he talks fast and most of the time you can't understand what he's saying....

One of the make up artists got his face all painted up and joined us in acting. He was in the dungeon and he came out all smiles. "I'll tell you what, I had so much fun making a 12 yr old kid cry! I understand why you do this now!" Something about a 12 yr old, crying, and being shoved in a coffin. Hah. He has been initiated. Some of the actors brought their younger siblings so I assume thats why he was shoved in a coffin in the dungeon. I swear most of the ppl that walked through were our own ppl either staff or family of staff walking through.

But my plan is to work til Thursday and ask if I have enough points to get a beanie. If I'm gonna spend like two weeks working for these crackheads I want something in return and some proof that I did it and survived. It takes 30 points for a beanie. By thurs I'll have only 28, but I think I can get Brian the pushover to make them give me a beanie. That way I won't have to work the weekend and I can come home on Friday night, or at least have time to do some stuffs like shop for next week so I'll have food again! But if they won't give me a beanie on 28 points then I'll stay and work Friday night and then leave Saturday sometime to go home. We'll see what we can fork out come Thurs.

All these costume parties going on this week. I've been in a different costume like every night for the past 7 days almost. I don't have my own. And I'm not sure I'd want to wear another one after all this. I simply have nothing to wear, no ideas for costumes, no time to come up with one, and I'm pritti sure I'd freeze to death in whatever I chose anyways. So I think I'm going without costume this Halloween. It seems ridiculous to say that after being in costume almost every night...
