Yesterday was Halloween!

I had a dentist appointment and they cleaned my teeth! I think I was more than 6 months overdue for a good cleaning. It feels nice. But they do poke at yer gums a lot and that hurts. Apparently my gums are swollen, bleeding and full of bacteria/infection. She says to keep flossing, but after they get "5" deep (whatever their numbering system means) I dont think floss does a thing so she put an "arrest" up there (whatever that is either). Apparently she pumped the gums with an antiboitic to help heal the infection. That'll be good. And of course I can't ever leave a 6 month appointment without hearing about cativities. I stopped asking IF I had any, the question now is how MANY do I have and how much will it cost me. I have three little ones. Surprising, only three and they are little and don't require root canals! woot woot! Point for me on the inheriting bad teeth front! Still costs me like $80 but thas okay I'll still have real teeth by the end of it.

Anywhooo I drove back to SLC, dropped off Max, changed clothes, grabbed a Pumpkin Pie Shake (mmmm) for lunch (gums hurt) and went to work. He didn't think I'd take that long. Neither did I. It took 1 hour and half to clean the teeth and 'arrest' them. Who knew. Did some dictation and the bills. The day went by fast granted, but not really fast enough.

The boy kept asking me random questions today and I answered them wondering what he was doing but knew it wasn't anything....big cuz he doesn't do anything big or surprising. So he kept asking me when I was leaving and when I'd get home and blah blah. I came home and heard that he was in the shower like he usually does, but the door was open and I thought that was unusual so I peeked in and he wasn't in there. So I turned around and he comes running out of the laundry room with bloody, black and blue makeup a long hair wig and biker leather on and he goes "rawr"! or some low grunt in order to scare. I wasn't really scared but hey! he did something surprising! He did something out of the ordinary, something I didn't ask him to, and he did it for me! He said he wanted to make Halloween fun for me so he dressed up! Haha. Cute. I guess I spoke too soon about the whole boys never surprising me, but I'm sure now that I've said that I'll never get another surprise again... sigh.

He wanted steak for Halloween. Yay lets celebrate Halloween with the same meal we always have! Oy. One step at a time I suppose dear Wednesday. So we went to the store and got steak and forgot sandwhich bags. We came home and ate and I made him watch The Glass House with me. He got everything ready for trick-or-treaters and none came. My doorbell is broken so he put up a sign. I got out the candy and started eating it cuz I didn't think anyone would come. So he really did juss dress up for me and the store. But it was really good weather for trick-or-treating for once tho. It's usually raining or snowing by the 31st. It kinda sucked not to go out or trunk-or-treating or anything that day. Gotta appreciate it when you got the weather ya know.

And today the first of November it was windy and lots of rain, and then came the snow. I had September and October of fall, thas good enough for me I suppose. It wasn't as long as summer, but I'm sure not -all- of November will be this weather. I like my fall. I got to see the leaves change color before they went dead, what more can I ask for. Besides the more cold weather we have the more enjoyable the cruise might be! Winter is not my favorite season, but I think I'm ready for it.
