Feeling: disappointed

I've never really been one for surprises.... I kinda hated them really.

But after many years with many guys who do -nothing- surprising....ever.....at all...

I think I changed my mind.

I wish they would surprise me sometimes.

After this new job he started I had the fear we'd never go on a date ever again (unless I paid, which I have been in order to enjoy the October festivities)

And then surprise, he asks if I want to meet for dinner.

I was skeptical, but surprised. Turns out he juss wanted Little Ceasars. Hey look there's that $5 he said he couldn't spend on me a few weeks ago, oh wait, the pizza is more for his benefit as he'll eat most of it, nevermind.

Well, at least it was an attempt.

He was pestering me this morning and it was slightly annoying. Going on about my body in not so romantic ways. Then he stopped being so obnoxious and a few hours later he simply texted "Happy Anniversary". Skeptical, but surprised that he remembered. He certainly hadn't remembered the last what 9 months? Then he had to ruin it by explaining thats why he was so excited this morning. It wasn't so much the anniversary as his excitment of my body. Sigh.

Yet another attempt.

Sorry to say but one day I'm going to get sick and tired of being disappointed.

He is so much like my Dad, in the not good ways, I have to say it's almost an automatic fail in the relationship business. But there was one difference between the two that made it bearable. And now that financial difference is gone and they are just alike and I can't handle two of them.

I'm not asking for his money. I never have and never will. I just want attention. I want things to back the way they were before he started stressing out. And now because its such a drasatic change I do take him for granted cuz now being disappointed about a $5 is taking him for granted! I just might be a horrible person with no patience.

On another note. I came home from work to find my front gate wide open. Odd. Who did that? I'm sure I locked the gate this morning. The first thing I did was look for my dog. Oddly enough he does seem more content in his yard and thankfully he was still around. Happily laying on the lawn chewing on something...

I went to investigate what he was chewing on and it turned out to be a cat carass. EW. A CAT. Where the hell did he get that?! He must've left the yard to go get that. How did he get out? Who opened the gate? Did he dig it up? Was it just...laying there? To him it was just bones to chew on I suppose. A mostly decomposed body. Ew. I knew my dog didn't like cats, but more in a scared of them kind of way, not the eating them kind of dislike. Times like these I wish my dog could speak. Maybe I need a camera

One reason I am not so comfortable owning a cat in this neighborhood. Apparently dogs come home with cat carcasses from time to time. Ew. Poor kitty. Don't wanna know how it died. Cats bring home dead mice and crap, not dogs, not someone elses pet for goodness sake.
