I got the job :]
the better one. the web marketing assistant one [way better than receptionist], in sylmar [closer], $12/hr [pays more], aaaaand not only FT [instead of PT like the other one] but it is sooo flexible. its basically just get the work done and do 30-40 hours on M-F sometime between 9-5p [instead of a strick W-Sat shcedule from certain time to certain time.. ew]. aaaaaaand health benefits [instead of none like the other place] how awesome is that?
I'm so excited right now. kinda scared tho. since i havent worked at an actual company in a while.. and since i dont have a lot of experience creating banner ads.. or any. but he knows that and hired me anyways. i think its because im in a photoshop right now so im going to learn how and maybe in the beginning i can focus more on the other areas of the job. I go in tomorrow to fill out paper work and get all set up. and officially start on monday :]
Timmy is so proud of me. He said he was happy i stuck it out for a graphic or web design job because he gets how Ive had a lot of jobs that have nothing to do with what i want to do and after a while, especially if you arent at each job a long time, it looks bad. I mean its fine if your just starting out or dont know what you want to do or if it doesnt really matter. but for me it matters right now because life is moving so fast and you only get older, why not push for the best? so anyways, this will definitely look awesome on a resume. I almost doubled what i was making at best buy. almost. aaand now I'll never be paid less again. woot.
Oh in other good news... Timmy bought me a car :] lol. not a crazy one like brand new. Some lady drove her car all the way from Michigan without any oil in it or something. so it ruined the motor. And it would cost her more to replace it than to buy a new car. So she sold it to tim for $500 and tim found a motor for $750. so were probably going to sell mine for $1,000. woot. new[ish] car YAY! and its not crappy looking like mine. its black and looks like tims civic only its a 4 door and automatic :] oh and it has a sunroof, and working radio and AC. yay yay.
