[1402] Torrance vs El Segundo

So this last week has been so crazy. Tim had Honda school in Torrance and I had orientation and QA training in El Segundo. Orientation was on Monday so it wasn't that big of a deal since Tim had to be at school at 9am and I didn't have to be there until 10, so i dropped him off first. I didn't have anything to do Tuesday and Wednesday. But on Thursday i had to be there at 8:30 so Timmy dropped me off first. On friday is where it got really weird since Tim went to school from 8a to 1p. So i dropped him off and then i forget what he did actually... i think someone gave him a ride to the hotel. Wednesday sucked. Choli is such a needy cat. She has to be near us at all times. or on us. and she ALWAYS need access to her liter box. even if she doesn't have to go. i did not know this and had to learn the hard way. like that day before we left when i accidentally left her in the bathroom... she freaked out and her poop was all bloody.. well on Wednesday i waited until she had gone to the bathroom and then i decided to take a shower. i closed the bathroom door where we had put her litter box. i wasn't going to be long. and she JUST went. and i hate leaving the door open mainly because its cold and also.. she plays with the shower curtain and it pulls it out and gets water all over the floor.. but i would have really preferred that over what happened.... so i get out of the shower and immediately open the door and she comes running in. straight to her box and goes... and then she wipes her butt on the floor.. i scolded her but it was too late... she wiped and looked pretty content about it. so i went to clean it up so i wouldn't accidentally step in it. and it was a streak of blood! so i check her box and there is blood there too!! so i freak out and i start cleaning.. i clean Choli. i think everything is fine... It took about 30 minutes to do all THAT... then i walk out of the bathroom to the bed to sit down and I smell the worse smell in my life... and there it was. the biggest pile of cat crap right in the middle of the hotel bed!! i wanted to cry. it took 2 hours to clean it all up. we washed the sheets and whatknot when Tim got back. and it wasn't that bad but g's... what a psycho... i was like 15 minutes at the most.... on Thursday i already said how training was in my last entry... day 2 was pretty cool. got a little more in depth about what we actually are going to be doing. and then we went through Tranformers in the Alpha phase.. i think. i felt so slow. time goes so fast and before i know it.. I've been trying to reproduce a bug i just found while other people are on bug number a bajillion... but he said that in your first 6 months of QA, if you don't feel like you're blowing it all the time, you're probably doing something wrong. So that made me feel better.. At the end they had this test thing. usually i finish the test and then look over my answers... well i was stuck at the end like most people were... and the test ended before i finished so i didn't have time to check my answers grr. so i had a lot of really lame mistakes. there was multiple choice, a query section to find certain bugs, and a verification section. in the verification section, we played Call of Duty 4. and had to verify if the bug was fixed or not. i got 1 right lol. i was rushing... but i guess it didn't matter. i still have a job yay. ew, there was this guy... ok so the first day of training.... i am walking back from break or lunch or whatever and walk past this guy and he says hi so naturally i say hi back. that's it. hi and hi. nothing more. after hi, i walk in the training room and take my seat at the far left hand side of the room. at the far right side is the break room.. where that guy was walking to. there are 2 doors that connect the 2 rooms. i am fumbling around in my purse and hear him talking to one of the instructors, randy. and i look up right as he says "i like her" he was basically saying things like that he wants to be a trainer and after "i like her" he waved at me. the instructor gave him a weird look and shut the door.. haha. thank God... i do not like that guy. i thought the nonsense had ended... ha. At the next break, i went to the restroom. you have to walk by the elevators to get from the restrooms to the training room. so i am walking back and there is a group of guys waiting for the elevator.. and one says hi.. I'm already a little past so i didn't even notice who said hi.. being the polite person i am i just started saying hi and turned to look at who i was saying hi to. him. i never stopped walking but when i saw it was him i sort of shot him a "weirded out" face. that was all that happened that day. nothing crazy just some weirdo. but then, on the second day during the first break, pretty much everyone left the room to go into the break room. i wasn't hungry and i had a water bottle so i stayed in my seat and started reading. out of nowhere, i hear "hi"... and i look over and this guy is squatting to my right.. *seriously freaked out* he says something along the lines of "so i just wanted to let you know that if you have any questions you can come to me. there's a sea of guys here but I am the coolest one..." he said something i forget but basically reiterated that he in fact was the coolest... i interrupted him and said the first thing that i could think of in time "yeah, right after my husband". and he's like "oh right... you've probably known him longer... yeah... uh... " and changed the subject to "so do you know what project your working on yet and stuff like that.. i gave him short 1 word answers and after a few questions he left. he seriously overestimates his cuteness. i hate when people do that. and its like.. i said hi to you. not come and hit on me please. gross. but i can handle it. I am not vain or anything but if that happened during training I'm sure it wont be the last time.. but being 1 of a handful of QA girls... I'm sure they all had their share of unwanted creeps annoying them too. we get free water bottles and soda :] i dunno, i thought that was pretty cool. i don't work Monday (holiday). I officially start my first project on Tuesday at 8:30am. On Friday Tim picked me up. we finished packing. drove home. dropped off Choli. Spent a little time with her and Jefri. and then we drove up to Santa Cruz. We went to a really nice restaurant. it had this cool cable car that takes you down. or you can walk the stairs but it was too cold to walk. it was pretty nice inside.. really expensive. but unfortunately.. their food wasn't as good as they think it is... but that's ok. it was nice dressing up and going out. we were going to walk on the beach and go on the rides and stuff. and then on the way home stop downtown and look at the shops.. but it was pouring rain. if it had been sprinkling, i would have went but it was freezing. and we both decided it was better to get back home to check on Choli anyways. I'm hungry.
