I Know You Can

I began writing a short story tonight off an idea that hit me where most ideas find me--in the shower. I like it though. It's called "I Know You Can" and, in rough summary, it's about how a daughter helps her mother get back on her feet and stay on track after their family falls apart due to alcoholism. There's still quite a bit of pieces missing, some key details I haven't sorted out yet, but there are some fine details that I really fell in love with and I think it will be a pretty good piece. Of course, that could also be the late hour speaking. Anyway, I need names. A name for the mother and daughter. Any ideas? Carrie

I just noticed your post on the main page, that's my reason for writing here...but in a lecture once a prof mentioned that good ideas come in the shower because of the ion charge by being surrounded by water. Who knows if its true? Best of luck with your story.

I've a feeling this might be related to the question you were going to ask me tonight. Your mother should definitely be Marilyn, daughter: Sissy or Chloe. With an Aunt Tori (for Victoria) thrown in there should you need her. Lol. Actually, Tori has always been a name that I wanted to use in a story somewhere. Aunt Tori, gotta dig it. Call me for lunch this week, maybe?
