The "Cool" RA

I guess I've won the title of the "cool" RA. At least, that's what Cronkite tells me. Which is really all that matters. It's 2am on a Thursday night and the only reason I am still awake and writing this, is because ever since I took my last walk at 11, I've been out talking with the residents. It's really nice that they've all gotten over the RA title and are opening up to me and making conversation freely. I was a bit worried that they'd be afraid of me and I'd be an outsider. Truth is, I really do like this group. I think their personalities are great; how like and dissimilar they are. Some of them are always asking questions about last years' group, wanting to be better, and they will be. They've got drive. On Wednesday I announced intramurals. We know have a softball team assembled and they're all quite serious about it. It's great. We're even having practice tomorrow and Saturday to prepare for the tournaments next week. It's just recreational, but it's so nice that such a good number of them are actively involved. This is also a perk for me, as an RA. They are making my programming responsibilities very easy. I've already got programs in the works for the rest of the semester, easily fulfilling my requirements and at little expense. I knew sophomore year would be different. I've never been happier here that how I am right now. Carrie
