Thanksgiving and other joys

Tuesday night, the last duty night before the break. The "Super Sniffer" strikes again and I bust two guys for alcohol. It was actually pretty funny; Francis entered the room to look around but failed to notice what I could see from the doorway; one of the residents was standing gaurd by the sink, carefully positing his foot to hide a large beer bottle behind it. Nice try. Wednesday morning, 7am, phone rings. It's mom. I just saw a commercial for a Tony Bennet CD with DVD. It's on sale at Target, could you stop and get it for me please? Not the CD, it has a DVD. Oh, ok. Have to stop there anyway. Then, while in Target, phone rings again. Could you help Jackie unload groceries? Ok... Go to Jackie's house to help unload groceries and set-up for Thanksgiving dinner. Back home by noon to help mom bake pies! It was quite yummy. That night, the Click 5 went out to celebrate Kristofer's birthday and having Andrew home. We went to dinner and had a blast, made a bet over nails in the wall withotu anything hanging from them (Helen and I won), guess where the waiter was from (we all lost miserably) and what his name was (and renamed him Angelo). Afterwards, we went back to Travi's house to watch a movie, where I promptly crashed and Kris was not far behind, so we left and celebrated the rest of his early birthday at home. And then of course, Thursday morning; Kristofer's birthday and Thanksgiving! (Now writing this on the 27th, so the details will be hazy...) The night before Thanksgiving The Castle Arroyo was quite full (No vacancy). Jackie and Tim and the "children" stayed the night, and so did Kristofer. So Thursday morning we all woke to a housefull and enjoyed the parade, special hot chocolate with whipped cream, and a delicious breakfast of french toast and crepes ("I thought you liked crepes!"). I spent the early part of the afternoon at the Miller's and had my first Thanksgiving dinner outside my own family. It was quite yummy, too. And because it was also Kristofer's birthday, there was cake and candles. His family attempted to spike up their hair like a mowhawk to make-fun of Kristofer's shark-fin hair thing he had going on there for a while. It was very funny (the hair-do and the mockery). Kristofer was a good sport about it though. Later on I went to Jackie and Tim's where my family was. The dinner was amazing, of course, as were the pies. There was Jackie, Tim, mom, dad, Aunt Kim, Uncle Billy, Grandpa, Adnre, Justine, Matt, Kelly, Ashley, me, Santan, Joey, Buster, and Cody and later Kris joined us. What a crowd! Unfortunately we had to eat later this year because of grand-kids having significant others and therefor other houses to stop at, so there wasn't much time for lazy conversation or games. But it was still an enjoyable evening, nontheless. Feeling delightfully fatter!
