Fighting "The Machines"

Bought the blank DVD's, now if only this moviemaker program wasn't such a bastard and would let me save my work to them...but noooOOOooo, you have to go BUY UPGRADES! Puck it. The geeksquad gathered together on Thursday night for their weekly lan party, mostly spending the evenings (and early mornings) playing (and beating) the latest and best games on the market. For some reason, conversation diverted from the usual jabber of hack talk, and someone brought up the foreign topic of girls. "If you ask me," Dilbert started, "meeting new girls is like familiarizing your self with a new computer. You've got your basic set-up, all the same parts and attachments, just varied according to model and make. You've got to first get beyond the initial beauty the hard drive and memory because underneath it all, they're all pretty much the same. Now getting to know them, really knowing them that's like playing video games. The only to figure them out is by pressing buttons. Sometimes you die, but sometimes you discover something pretty neat and secretive. And you can't give up right away, you've got to keep at it, play for hours on end and remember what move makes what happen. If only I could master women as fast as I master video games. If I could do that, I'd have this whole city laid by next Thursday." Ok, that could have been much better but I'm actually really tired tonight, so it was crap. Anyways, don't feel much like talking about my day, except to say that it wasn't too bad. Tomorrow is Wednesday. Isn't that exciting? Sweet dreams all. Carrie
