Happy Indian Independence Day!!!

Feeling: brilliant
So, happy Independence Day man!! Email's not working today so I have time and motivation for this... And I've appropriately and seemingly suddenly picked up the mishmash Woodstock accent today, sticking "mans" and "yas" at the end of every sentence with a little Indian-British-Aussie-Irish-Korean-Japanese-Chinese-American lilt. So ya, it's funny. It's only third week too, wait'll I come back and you hear me talk, it'll be crazy man!!! And I have gotten used to the Punjabi suit and it is soooo comfortable now, and mine's hot pink and orange and beauteous... First of all I'd like to apologize to everybody for not emailing as much as I'd like to, things are soooo hectic here and I have this horrible absentmindedness thing going on so I tend to plan on writing people emails and letters and stuff and then completely forget about it and I feel HORRIBLE... I don't often forget the people who email me cuz I can just hit "Reply" so keep me posted, I don't want to totally miss out man, so yeah. claraswanson@woodstock.ac.in but NO CHAIN MAILS So ya, This week was Indian Culture week and it's been sweet, I did some folk dancing and martial arts and my thighs and butt hurt soooo badd... And went on a CARE trip to Dehradun to a Mother Teresa orphanage just to walk around with the disabled kids and give them attention basically... It was quite a shock, you know, really affecting... they are sooo cute but I just had not the slightest clue of what to do with them... Mostly just hug them and I played some hand games and stuff... Sad. And on Friday we hung out at Hostel as usual and these little Indian kids came up to us calling us "Didi" (sister in Hindi) and asking us to play with them, it was sooo fun, they are sooo fast and soooo cute, and we had a major language barrier haha, but we played some Indian hopskotch and hokey pokey, tag, and kho kho... Soooo much fun!!!! And we made plans for next week... Hahahaha. Nicole and me are in with the server guys at lunch, especially Darren, and we're looking forward to chillin in Nepal come December... And we got GATED yesterday, for being late from church!!! HAHAHAHA So we're making all these plans for next weekend when we'll be stuck in dorms all the time, like beach party and face mask, foot soak, apricot scrub, that kind of thing... Walking around in our bathing suits beccause we're not allowed to normally!! IT's so bad to be looking forward to punishment haha, but it's fun... And today we went with Mr. Monty my advisor to Chaduk Han and the Buzz illegally, and rode a MANPOWERED FERRIS WHEEL!!!! IT WAS TOTALLY INSANE!!!! And then we got rickshaws to Library Bazaar and had some lassi and cold coffee and stuff, and it started pouring and then Nicole's sari got stuck in the door of Monty's pink car and got soaked and hole-y... Hahaha. Then we went to see this plaque get put up in a church for some Aussie novelist, and then back to school to serve dinner to the elementary kids. It's a fun life man. So anyways, I'm sure there's a lot more stuff but I can't think of it now and there are a lot of people waiting to use the computers, so I guess I'll catch you guys later ya? Love to you!!!!
