a superb storyteller... dick van dyke

Feeling: excited
I keep having like, random news flashes of what going to India really entails. Like how I'm going to be flying pretty much by myself, hopefully with a bunch of other kids but you know, adult-less. And how I'm going to meet a ton of really interesting people, alone, without having to accomodate for my family for once in my life... My dream come true! And how I'm going to have to be responsible, but not too responsible so I can still have fun without worrying all the time. But how I'm going to sorely miss all my friends, as Kat puts it, not the people I have to love but those I stick with because I actually want to. And my family, just because they grow on me, unfortunately. It's going to be a guilt trip cuz they're always gonna be like "omg we miss you sooo much, this is a transitional year for your sister" and I'm gonna be like dame, but I'm having fun. lol. :-x So anyways, yesterday was the coolest ever. Me & Kat dressed up all cute and her dad drove us to Kool Dipper, and we both only had like change haha, from the VA trip. So I had exactly $2.10 in dimes and nickels mostly, and when we'd got our ice cream we had a total of $2.25 haha. So anyways what with all that change we succeeded in looking totally dumb in front of the cute kid that we dont know even though as logic puts it he SHOULD go to AHS... so we figured he must go to Bishop Gibbons... but anyways in our confusion we forgot to pay attention and he was just like okk and we were like *drops quarter* whoops sorry. lol. So anyways we walked up the street to Ashley's to get a safety pin but Adam was there all by hisself and the only thing he would say to us was "No." lol. So we walked up Forest to Eckerd hoping to employ Matt's employee discount and buy some safety pins bcuz they were $2.26 haha, go figure, so we had to buy hairclips instead. And then on our way back from whence we came some guy in a van whistled at us and hung out the window haha. And Kat was all confuzed because she saw Matt's car in the parking lot lol. So anyways, we got like halfway up Forest and decided we didn't wanna go that way, so we went back and then decided we wanted to go the way we had been going but we didn't wanna walk up Forest again haha, so we cut thru the parking lot and crossed the bridge, turned up past Elk's Lodge and went to Vet's by way of Frankie's who was getting ready for prom and flipping out, and then a bunch of guys were like "Hey you ladies wanna play softball?" But we turned them down, and Kat was like "If I hadnt been there you totally woulda ended up playing and gotten raped or something" haha. I wonder how old we looked cuz everybody who took notice of us was like 20-something hahaha. So we went and sat on the swings, and then past the gazebo to see if Elise wanted to cavort with us, and a bunch of guys hangin around a motorcycle were like staring at us, and then we ended up not even going to Elise's cuz we were afraid of who would open the door. lol. So we called Manda who was getting ready to go to work and doesn't approve of our kind of fun ANYWAY hahaha, and then across to Brookside and Brigid's mom passed us in her car which is bad cuz that's the kind of thing she doesn't approve of. Fortunately we weren't dressed like sluts like that one time when we stayed over at her house haha, and we got beeped at, but still. We were, you know, not quite within her bounds :-x So anyways, we went up Meadow and Market and had pizza at Kat's uber-fast cuz she had to go to work lol, so we ran down the street holding our pants up and these two guys in a car were laughing at us, and then I walked home and it was realllly fun. We got a total of one whistle, one softball invitation, a yell, 3 honks and a double-beep, and a motherload of stares, double-takes, and a few hanging-out-the-windows. The funny thing was that we were talking about life and philosophy and religion the whole time hahahaha. We went from taking pictures of people's houses dressed gothically speaking loudly about bombs and missiles in perfectly toned Russian accents to walking around West Side dressed all cutsey and getting beeped at and all other manner of weird things. haha we are soo weird :-x
