For Sky-Chapter 5.

Feeling: alive

The wind chilled every inch of her body and she closed her eyes, letting her mind slip back to when they had met up. It was raining like normal and she met him in the medic unit. When she had slipped into the room, she had found Ty watching the rain running down the window glass. Then she walked over to him and waited for him to make the first move.

He glanced slightly at her and asked, "Ready?"

She pulled the window pane up and said, "As ready as ever."

His arm steadied her as she stepped onto the slick shingles below the window and then she stepped aside to let him onto the roof. When they looked down at the ground, she tried to find their means of transportation, but she only failed. Then she felt him take her hand and she looked back at him.

The rain made his face hard to see and she heard, "Just follow me."

Then he led her to the edge of the roof and her hand naturally tightened around his. She was well aware that it seemed childish to be worried for an agent, but she couldn't care less when she could hardly see anything because the rain kept getting thicker. Suddenly she felt him pull her off the roof and she held the scream as they fell to the ground. The impact jarred her legs slightly and she stumbled forward as her balance fought for control. His arm held her up as she steadied herself and she knew he was getting amused at her while she was getting annoyed with her clumsiness.

She sighed in frustration and asked, "How much further do we have to go before we get to your means of transportation?"

His arm left her waist and she heard, "Just follow."

She read that he didn't intend to answer her questions and she kept her mouth shut as she followed him further into the dark. When she was beyond soaked, she rubbed her hands over her cold arms and kept walking. They eventually stopped walking and she looked around only to find a running jeep parked under a tree. The mere image of something dry to travel in made her quickly follow Ty over to the vehicle and hopping in without a word. It took a few minutes for Ty to locate the key and get the engine running so the jeep cabin would heat up.

"You staying long or leaving as soon as I finish showing you?"

His voice made her leave her memories and she said, "I'm suppose to go on a scoping and info digging mission while I'm doing this."

She listened for a remark and he simply said, "We will do this mission before you see the insides of my organization."

Her eyes drifted over to him and she asked, "How come? I thought I was going to be in and out of your place quickly."

He glanced at her slightly and said, "I can't come back for some time or the boss will know something went wrong. Besides, I want to see how good of an agent you really are."

She smirked and closed her eyes while saying, "You'd be surprised. My mission is all that matters once I get to work."

As she left the realm of truth, she felt his gaze full completely on her and a small smirk crossed her lips. Once she was completely asleep, he turned the radio on with the volume barely high enough for him to hear the music. Then he took a risk glancing at her and he let his eyes travel over her sleeping form. When he forced himself to look back at the road, he held a sigh within and focused on the task at hand.

'Smooth Ty. Real smooth. Let's just get ourselves distracted.'

Time slowly passed and they were driving through a desert with only the dark as their companion. When a flashing sign caught his eye, he glanced at it and pulled off the road at the building next to it. The letters INN were bright against his eyes and he parked the jeep in the shadows on the backside of the building. Then he turned off the engine and climbed out without making a sound. With a quick twist on the key, he locked the jeep and walked around the building to book two rooms.

When he stepped into the lobby, he found the clerk half asleep and he looked around for some way of waking the man up. A bell caught his eye and he rang it once, waking the man with a startle. The man jumped to his feet rapidly and blinked rapidly as he fought the sleep from his eyes. Then he looked up at Ty and quickly pulled out a clipboard with at least five sheets of paper.

Ty eyed all the lines on the paperwork and said, "Never mind."

The man's eyes widened in hurt and he said, "Wait! You can stay for one night and not fill this out. Stay more than once and you'll have no choice."

Then he looked for two door keys and said, "I'm afraid we've got only one room. The others are rented out."

Ty shook his head and said, "It best have two beds."

The man nodded quickly and it looked as if he was trying to give himself whiplash. Ty shook his head and took the key from the man's small, wrinkly hand. Then he stepped out of the lobby and made his way back to the jeep. When he reached his door, he unlocked and opened it. He grabbed his jacket from the back seat and then he noticed that the passenger seat was empty.

Ty shook his head and closed the door without even looking around the area. Then he walked to his room and as he stepped into it, his right hand flicked the light switch upwards. The light was dim and that saved his head from another painful pounding. When he closed the door, he left it unlocked and tossed the key onto a small table next to the doorway. He walked to the back of the room and stepped into the small bathroom to wash up.

A few minutes past and he walked out of the small bathroom. He tossed his shirt over a chair and looked at the bed in the corner. It was just his luck this would happen, but he wouldn't lower himself to doing so. Instead he walked over to the nearby chair and sat in it while he dialed a number on his phone. As he talked into it, he heard the sound of swerving tires and he walked to his door.

He opened it just enough to see out and he saw three men getting out of a jeep with their weapons out and ready to fire. His eyes narrowed and then he heard the other line pick up. Then he closed his door and walked back over to the chair as he spoke into his phone. When he finished, he hung up and put the phone on the table next to his shirt. The doorknob then turned and he looked slightly at the door just as it opened.

His muscles slightly relaxed as he watched her lock the door behind her, but then the questions came back into his mind and he silently growled. When he returned to his chair, Casey looked at him and then her eyes found the bed. Instantly her green eyes became slits and he watched her take in their little refuge without a word. She slipped into the small bathroom in the back and he glanced back at the door. Then he got up and walked over to the light switch next to the doorway.

When the lights were off, he let out a sigh and sat back in his chair just before Casey slipped back into the room. She sat on the edge of the bed and he watched her examine the room again. Then she finally looked at him and he waited for her to start speaking.

She looked at the window and said, "Your absence has been noticed."

He remained silent and she said, "Jeff wants me to return back to headquarters just so I don't look like I came with you or you took me as a hostage."

His hand held his chin as he listened and she said, "As for the mission, we traveled here your way. If you intend to stick with me, then you'll be going my way."

Her green eyes seemed to have flames growing as she continued filling him in on their next move. When she tightened her jaw unconsciously, he noticed how her skin tightened perfectly. Then his eyes fell onto her old scar and he could still remember running his hand over it. The sensations were getting too powerful for him and he got to his feet. Without a word, he walked to the door and unlocked it while hearing her get to her feet.

Her hand touched his arm just as he pulled the door ajar, and he looked back at her to find her watching him like a predator. He closed the door and locked it before he dared looking back at her. All the preparations in the world became useless whenever he looked at her. Then he felt her pull herself away reluctantly and he chuckled silent as he watched her return to her spot on the small bed. She leaned against the wall with one arm propped on a leg and he held her gaze as he sat in his chair once more.

Then her eyes flashed and she asked, "Am I already bothering you, Ty?"

Her words held two meanings and he said, "On the contrary."

She ran a hand through her hair and said, "Nice cover."

He couldn't help but smirk and said, "One of my best features."

Casey rolled her eyes and said, "Now that just destroyed any ground you could have achieve."

A laugh would have been perfect at the moment, but he'd never laughed in his life, so he said, "You best get sleep. We're moving at dawn."

She stood and walked over to him while saying, "I think I got plenty of sleep on the way here."

Just being that close to her was making his skills fail one by one and he growled, "Go back to your spot."

Another smirk crossed her face and she said, "I highly doubt you could convince me to."

Then she knelt next to the chair and he asked, "What?"

Her eyes looked over his face and she asked, "Chris? He's your father?"

He silently sighed and said, "Took you long enough to figure it out."

The green eyes flashed again and she said, "It's not like it was all that hard once I knew what that scar was on your arm."

He shook his head and said, "It's in the past."

Her fingers slowly touched his arm and he looked at her as she said, "You honestly have nothing to be ashamed of. Your father was a great man, and as far as I can tell you are just like him."

His eyes slowly met hers and she asked, "Don't believe me do you?"

He shook his head in disbelief and said, "You say these things like you believe it all. Do you even know about your past?"

Her hand disappeared and she said, "No."

Quietly she got to her feet and walked back over to the bed. She looked down at the mattress and he wished he had a gun to take back those words.

Her fist shook and she said, "I was a month old when I was left at the organization. My brother, who's the leader, took care of me. He raised me with the help of some other agents and I grew up around medicine. Just this past year I was allowed into the field."

Ty got to his feet and walked up behind her while asking, "Did you ever see your parents?"

She shook her head slowly and said, "They never wanted me. I saw them one day with a group of friends and overheard them talking. Someone asked why I wasn't with them and my mother, the bitch, said that I was no longer in the picture. She explained that I wasn't what they had wanted and the same went for Jeff. He has all their genes, but they wanted a girl."

His hand rested on her shoulder and he said, "Yet they got rid of you."

She slowly nodded and said, "I look nothing like them. I was a complete failure."

Her words shook his mind and he said, "Forget them."

Her green eyes finally returned to him and she said, "I've tried, but not knowing why you're a failure isn't easy to get over."

He nodded and said, "My mother married after I was born. Everyone except her and my stepfather always treated me horribly. Then, I lost them both to an unknown gang."

She lost any of her pain and said, "I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have put you on the spot like that."

With a shrug, he looked fully into her eyes and said, "I told you because we aren't all that different."

A smirk slowly crossed her face and she asked, "Is that so? I always thought you were the tough soldier that no one could control just from watching you."

He chuckled inwardly and said, "As if. I on the other hand had a better idea of what you truly were."

She rewarded him with a smile and he said, "I didn't think I had it in me to get that out of you."

Casey shook her head and said, "Try all you want. I don't smile often."

His eyes slowly fell down her face as he took in everything happening and he said, "You know, I have absolutely no idea what is going on. Not one person has gotten past my barriers and poisoned me."

Her eyes widened slightly and she said, "You know that those words best not come out again. I'm involved with Buck and-"

He sighed and growled, "Forget that idiot. He doesn't make you happy. That was obvious. Besides, you were the one that told me you had no other options at that time."

She rolled her eyes and said, "Please don't use my words against me."

His eyes traveled back down her face and he asked, "Has that idiot kissed you since?"

He watched her cheeks slowly darken more and she mumbled, "No he hasn't."

Ty smirked and said, "That's what I thought."

She rolled her eyes again and said, "Men are so stubborn."

This time he let out his chuckle and he said, "Let us be stubborn. I have something I have to do before I will leave you be."

Her eyes widened and she was about to protest when his lips ran over hers. Everything stopped as that kiss ran over her mouth and she slowly fell into the depths of the fire. When she could no longer head off the passionate flames, she let go and fell into the ravage storm. Her arms wrapped around his neck and he ran his arm around her small waist to secure her to him. A moan escaped her and everything ended.

She watched his face as she felt her pulse race with his warmth adding to the race inside her. Then he brushed her hair back and she felt his mouth run down her neck with gentleness she'd never felt. Her eyes fell closed as she took in the sensations and soon she felt his hands running up and down her spine. A chill ran up her spine and she jerked with it. When he looked at her, she found the agent mask was still in place and she ran her fingers over his face.

It still amazed her that his skin would be so firm and yet so gentle and soft at the same time. She looked directly into his eyes and instantly knew she had just made a terrible mistake. His eyes were too deep to escape and she could feel herself falling further into his gaze. When she felt herself let out a sigh, she bit back her frustration and slowly let her hands wrap around the base of his neck. Then she pulled her eyes away from his just to look at his mouth and then she pulled him down to her.

IJKL

The soft roaring of the engine echoed in the background and the sun rays filled the bunker with enough light that it made her hair radiate to a burning fire. He pulled his eyes away from her sleeping face and tried to focus on recording the mission they had just finished.

"Where are we going and what is the point of this mission?"

Ty followed behind her knowing he'd get his answers when she allowed him to receive them. It didn't bother him all that much and he hated the reason why. Every few minutes he found himself lost in just her backside and then he'd have to silently scold himself for even playing with the notion. When she stopped walking and knelt in some underbrush, he knelt next to her and studied her face. She was in complete agent mode and seemed to be looking for someone.

Then the contact exposed themselves and they slowly moved out of their coverage. When they stood next to the person, he watched as the contact and Casey held a gaze. In a matter of seconds it was over and the contact started to walk into a town. Casey followed and he found himself following without a single thought. He had to give credit to the town architect because the town looked as if it was from the ancient Greeks and held some ancient Italy taste in all the colors.

The contact took them into a bar and said, "Wait in the basement."

He watched the woman disappear and then Casey said, "Let's go."

She led him down some back stairs and soon they were sure enough in the basement. Casey leaned against the wall near the stairs and he scanned the room as his mind captured every detail. Soon the door opened and the contact walked down the stairs with an envelope in her right hand.

His eyes narrowed as he studied the woman and Casey said, "Thanks for your help, Cameo."

Cameo nodded and said, "I'd say not a problem but there's a gang waiting for you two outside the bar. They must have heard you'd be here, Cas."

He watched as Casey studied her words and then she said, "Guess it's sewer time."

Cameo nodded and said, "Afraid so. However, I have to show you where the entrance is now. I had it moved."

His eyes became slits and he noticed that Casey had read his mind without him realizing it was written on his face. The contact was up to something and Casey was well aware as well. Then he saw Cameo head his way and he stepped aside as she pulled up a trapdoor. When he looked at Casey, he found her watching the contact and then she jumped down into the sewer. Without another thought, he went into the sewer as well and then the light from the basement disappeared as Cameo closed the entrance off.

With only the water making noise, he said, "She sure needs lessons on acting."

Casey looked at the envelope and said, "Let's just get out of here before the gang catches up."

Ty looked at the envelope and said, "A little too late."

She looked up at him and then she looked down the sewer to find the gang only a matter of minutes away. Her eyes narrowed as she pulled her gun out and set it. She didn't get the chance to use it. Ty snatched her wrist and started leading her through the sewer with the gang on their heels. When he found a ladder, he glanced over his shoulder and found the gang pretty far behind.

Then he stopped at the ladder and said, "Go."

Casey looked at him and said, "You first. I'm set."

He rolled his eyes and quickly climbed the ladder while removing the lid as he made his way up. When he reached the surface, he moved aside and pulled Casey out of the sewer just as an explosion shook the tunnel. They fell backwards with her on top and she quickly got up as he put the cover over the hole. Then he joined her and they made their way to the Learjet without saying a word.

He finished the last word on the report and put the message away until he'd reach his organization. Then he looked back down at the woman sleeping in her chair and he could clearly remember what it had felt like when they had been knocked off their feet. His body still burned from being that close to hers without getting any relief and he took a deep breath. She slowly shifted in her chair and he watched as she slowly came back to reality. When their gazes met, she took a deep breath and looked at her watch to check how long she'd been out.

He rested his head back against the wall as he watched her get up and started cleaning things up for landing. When something caught in the engine, he looked straight at her just before the jet jerked to the left. His arm caught her before she fell onto the floor and he held them up with the support of a ceiling pipe as the jet kept falling. A yell came from the cockpit and Casey pulled herself loose from him. Then she made her way over to the door and he slowly followed her as gravity started to tighten its grasp on them.

When they reached the cockpit, he found the pilot unconscious with his head to the side and a growing stain on his shoulder. A growl reached his ear and he looked down to find Casey working in the passenger seat. She switched the controls over to her and began pulling the jet upright. Once they were back at the proper altitude and on the right course, the jet went onto autopilot as she worked on removing the bullet from the pilot's shoulder. He took over the controls to keep himself from watching her hands work on the man and when someone came over the speaker, he heard her stop working.

She leaned across him to get to the headphones and he let his body ache as he listened to her check in. The moment she was disconnected with the headquarters, she laid the headphones down and then she finally realized her position. Slowly she straightened up and returned to the task at hand hoping to just forget whose body she had been leaning over. When she finally sowed the wound shut, she sighed and picked up the ruined tools. Then she laid the pilot on the floor and slipped into his seat.

Without a word, she fastened into the seat and leaned back into the soft seat as her mind started scolding her. She felt his gaze on her for a few seconds and she risked looking at him. His jaw was evident as he concentrated on getting them to a safe place to touch down that's near his organization. Slowly she felt herself unfastening her seatbelt and moving over to where he was. He met her gaze fully and flipped the jet to autopilot just before he took her captive.

She fell into his lap perfectly and her hands ran through his hair with the storm taking her further than ever. When he released her mouth, she let her eyes focus on his face as her breath regulated. At first she planned on going back to her seat, but being on his lap with his arm securing her to him made her also wish to stay. His eyes returned to the sky around them and she let her pulse steady itself as she rested her head on his shoulder.

When they were coming over a city, she flipped the shield switch and they slipped into stealth mode. Then he inputted some codes and the jet headed to the new coordinates. This allowed him to look back at her and she knew her breath was gone just from his lips running down her neck. Her mind kept telling her that it had to stop, but she just couldn't make herself until she had to. That time came when the jet started to land and she sighed as she gathered her control.

Slowly she got off his lap and knelt next to the drugged pilot to see how he was recovering. When the man just slept on, she shook her head and slipped out of the cockpit. The more space she put between them was suppose to help her refocus on her mission, but it only made her even more unstable. She quickly made her way to the bunker and packed up all her gear in hopes of getting this mission over quickly.

'Get a grip Casey. You are so pathetic if you think this one man can do this to you. It should be Buck, not him.'

The door slid open behind her and she took a deep breath before she allowed herself to look over her shoulder. He stood leaning against the door with his arms crossed across his chest and his eyes fixed sternly on her. Her hands came to a halt and she felt herself slowly move toward him against her will. When she stood mere inches away from him, she finally gained control over her limbs and just stood rooted to the floor.

Ty ran his eyes down her and then he said, "Leave everything here. It will be safe until you reboard."

Her eyes narrowed slightly in caution and she asked, "Where are we? This doesn't look like your organization."

He easily disappeared down the coach of the jet and she sighed in frustration before she went after him. When she saw him waiting at the door, she slowly allowed her mind to kick into cruise control. Then she walked up to the door and he helped her down before he joined her. Her eyes scanned the thick forests and her eyes narrowed as she let her mind process all the details needed for her report. His gaze burned on her back and she looked back at him to find that he was waiting for her with his body leaning against a motorcycle.

She shook her head and asked, "Do you mean to tell me that we're traveling on that?"

He tossed her a helmet and said, "If you plan on coming, yes."

She shook her head and walked to the bike while mumbling, "When did I become such a pushover."

A hushed chuckle reached her ear and sent fire through every inch of her, freezing her to her spot instantly. She looked at him and found that his agent mask was still on, but then where did that chuckle come from? With resignation, she slid onto the bike and carefully wrapped her arms around his waist. Then he pulled his visor down and they rode off into the wilderness.
