[*101*] Apartment-Singing. Divine Mercy. Homework. (Throwback!)

[Throwback: March 29th, 2008.]

i think i’ve developed a new hobby.

well, last week, i was alone in my house from 8 in the morning til 4 PM.
every day. (@_@)
i would pretty much stay on the internet, or watch tv --
actually, half of last week i went out with my friends… to do a project.
-__-”

but anyways, i’m pretty sure that i’ve started something new lolz.
it’s called: “Apartment-Singing.̶1;
lame? i know…
well, it’s like shower-singing,
except yesterday morning, i did when i was getting ready to leave the house.

and here’s the thing that got me --
i can’t compose.
at least, nothing substantial. nothing good.
and yet somehow yesterday,
i started singing out loud.
like LOUD. i mean, the place was empty and quiet and it was 9 in the morning XD.
but i just started singing, and somehow i came up with melodies.
and words.
and beginnings and ends.

of course, i suck so much that there’s no refrain,
but come ON, i was just fooling around.
and then i actually really liked it!

and so, the last two times i did it,
i took my digital camera out and put it in front of me,
and tried to do it consciously, actually thinking.

and so the result is two videos where i’m singing:
one where the camera is perched on my bookshelf and i’m off screen lolz.
and the other is when i’m holding,
and i was basically pacing back and forth singing to myself,
so that’s how the video came up.

i’m not gonna put those up yet. i’m not sure if they’re good enough XD
but don’t worry - on my next day off, i’ll definitely try to make more.

okay, and this weekend is Divine Mercy Sunday.
road trip, anyone? :D
road trip and being the only person there below 40? D:

yeah, so tomorrow we’ll be driving to Stockbridge, MA,
to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy.
gorgeous place, honestly.
and definitely fit for the solemn, prayerful atmosphere.
damn, if i didn’t put this up so late, i would ask people for intentions and bring them up there for you.
but anyways, i do have my prayer list.

but yeah, road trip, and me the only senior citizen. lmfao.
oh god.
well, if worst comes to worst, i’ve got my music,
and of course i’ll be bringing Bitter Chocolate,
which i’ve ONLY HIT THE HALFWAY MARK TODAY.
ARGHHHHHH.
well, hopefully i can finish it in the car tomorrow.
because there’s no way that i’m doing it tonight.
i’m procrastinating tonight, as you can see.
watched a movie, some tv, and now i’m on the internet.

i can’t get anything done.

will probably be up late tomorrow night doing my global paper.
god, it should have been done DAYS ago…

-hating myself-

P.S. the video attached is Sonatine, composed by Maurice Ravel. i’m learning it, and i’m also in love with it.
i actually HATE this performance --
i myself interpret the piece much lighter than this guy plays it,
like water, my teacher says :] --
but it was the only YouTube version i could find that had all three movements together for you guys…
>_<
maybe i’ll record my own someday. :]
just for you.
XD

update: never mind.
i found how it’s SUPPOSED to be played.
the video is in my posted items.
-at your service in posting good music-

and also, i’m actually screwed.
i’m supposed to MEMORIZE this WHOLE VIDEO…
...
by June.
I CAN’T DO IT. not by then.
AND IT KILLS ME.
because i absolutely love this piece.
-cries-
