[60.] You are the blood in my veins.

It rained that day. They stood around the open white coffin. Shawn picked some daises and dragged himself across the wet grass. Then he saw her mom, Nathan… her family. Their eyes engrossed on the coffin, just wailing. Except for Nathan. He just stood there, staring at her, hoping she’d open her eyes and smile again. Shawn stood at a distance where no one could see. He pulled out a note, written by his shaky hands, not exactly readable, and forced himself to the coffin, standing in front of everyone. He slipped the note between her hands, then turned and walked away, feeling the glare and silence of the world stare him down. [The note] ‘You’re more than a person, but an angel. Your brown eyes, silky hair, and not just beautiful, but beyond anything you can put into words. I miss you not just because of the sweetness you brought to the world, but because there is only one of you. Jamie, you were the only reason I pushed myself out of bed in the morning…’ You couldn’t read the rest of the words as the rain drenched the words to faded black, as he dropped the daises to the ground.
