[23.] i never cared how cold i was when you wore my clothes.

The sky resembled alluminum foil. Shawn's heart was beating at an insane rate, echoing through his ears. It had been three hours after the party ended. After he hugged Jamie before she went to bed, the smell of her hair, the sounds of Nathan's Misfits CD... long after the cops had left the party... vomit on the couches... Into his safe bed. Sleeping. Or trying to. He had to see Jamie. Shawn entered his car. As the engine began, he thought nothing of what he was doing. Shawn drove down the horizon. It was five o'clock in the morning, by the time he got to Jamie's house, the sky began to brighten. Shawn walked quickly, like an excited little boy about to get ice cream. He reached the grassy front lawn, and stood directly below Jamie's window. He searched the cold grass for small rocks. And if you really thought about it, it was all for sex, right? This was different, because Shawn, was in love. With this... gorgeous, brown haired feminist, whose favorite flowers are dasises, loves chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, loves her hair blowing in the wind, prefers red over pink, hates Paris Hilton, doesn't like the smell of peanut butter, and who cannot sing at all... No, it wasn't for sex. It was for love. "Here goes..." His voice whispered, getting lost in the air. The pebble bounced off the window. Shawn held his breath in anticipation. Nothing. He threw another, his heart about to explode. He decided he would wait there, throwing pebbles at Jamie's window forever, if it meant waiting for her. And suddenly... her window opened. There she stood, her mouth open, no makeup, but perfect without it, a tank top and sweats, her hair straight and silky, she was smiling and at the same time, appalled. "Shawn..." She whispered, but loud enough for him to hear. Shawn automatically flew his arms out and yelled "Marry me!" Jamie's face burned a dark shade of pink, her smile was too large to contain. "Well... maybe when it's legal," He continued, "But in the meantime, be my girlfriend?" Jamie stood, speechless, half her face occupied with a smile. She suddenly slammed her window shut, leaving Shawn alone. "What?" He questioned himself. The front door opened, there standing Jamie. She ran to him, and kissed him, deeply. The sky was pink and purple, and for a second, the world was perfect.
