Listening to: nothing
Feeling: meh
It's only the second day of band camp and every muscle in my body aches. I'm rediscovering the muscles I haven't used in a while. This week so far has been pretty good. Today, we learned majority of pregame and our run on. It's awesome. We of course have the band spilt on the 2 sides, they're lined up at the 25 yard line, and drumline comes down the middle of the field like always. The all the lines move at the same time and there's 8 lines all together. 2 lines on either side of the 50 in front, 2 lines either side the 50 in back. So we march on and we end up spiraling around the drumline. Then from there we play and what not then we have 32 counts to move to position to make a "T" and shift the band down to 8 steps away from the side line. We play another song then have another 32 counts to move into a giant pyramid. We then do a delay to the rear to face the visitors crowd and play the opposing schools fight song, then delay to the side we need to for 8 counts. The 2 lower side of it break off and march in opposite directions to leave the middle part looking like a rhombus. I'm on the left side so I have to go 16 counts left, right spin, then 16 counts forward and high halt. That's about as far as we got today, but later tonight we're getting the charts for Ben Hur Overture and having the Junior Drill Down. How I love those so. Our first home game of the year is against Papillion La Vista, so it'll be good times to play On Papillion again. I don't know if they'll be too thrilled that we play their fight song. Now Mr. Kellett wants to somehow write out "Titan" in script and have us spell it out on the field...I don't think that's going to work too well, but Mr. K can probably make it work. I think Michelle was supposed to stay the night at my house tonight...not to sure on that one. Hmm...I'm going to see if I can bribe my brothers to rub my back for me....No avail.
