TCX welcomes 2004

5.05 p Hello friends. I've missed all of you. As I was partying it up in Minneapolis, don't worry, I thought of all of you. ;P Y'all TCX was so great! I really loved it a lot. Even if it took my group 6 hours to do our outreach. That was definetly a lesson for me on keeping my hope up. Frustration got me nowhere, fo shiz. That's my new phrase: fo shiz. I totally cannot say "fo shizzle" as I am very much a white girl. It just sounds retarded coming from me. "That's because you're whiter than white" -- Betsy sang that to me a la Backstreet Boys' Larger than Life song. Anyways, TCX = fun, fun, fun. And Megan thought a Cru New Year's Eve Party would be boring. Ha Ha to her!! It was great. After all, how many of you have rung in the new year with 1200 college students? Yeah, that's right. Just think about that. The dancing started at midnight: Disco Inferno. Ben Lumpkin looked highlarous in his 70s Elvis costume. He even went up on stage for "Sing Along with Tim". I so predicted that though. Swanny looked so funny dancing just because he could actually do the disco thing and look natural. I told him that's because that's what he danced like in high school. Every time our group got seperated into guys and girls, Bri, Katie, and I would "infiltrate" the guys' group. The dance ended at 2 because they had to break down the stage and screens and lights and everything (supposably they stay up until 8 in the morning doing that). So like 30 of us ISU kiddos walked a block to the ice skating rink. Nobody had skates, of course, so we played freeze tag on the ice. It was great, I didn't fall once but I really couldn't run on the ice. At a quarter to 3, I thought it might be good if I went home as I had to drive 6+ hours today to get home. I got back and talked to a couple people, showered, and finally crawled into bed at 3:30. Needless to say, I got up at 8 and packed up and Andrew (my rider) and I drove home. Well, there's a lot more to tell about TCX and about my New Year's Resolutions and what not, but I really don't feel like going into it right now. Just want to say HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT! you know you love me ;) Yeah, and is it just me or does it seem kind of sad that they have to "cut in" with the current Nebraska football coach "news" during commercial breaks? Granted, I love Nebraska football as much as the next Nebraskan but there's so much more going on in the world than football. I think it just seems weird to me since I just came back from TCX and boom, there it is. There is just so much pain and suffering in the world to report on and all that is important to us is whether Nebraska football has a "good winning coach", not just a "winning coach" because apparently Frank Solich winning many and losing a few is just not good enough. And since when does all the success of a football program sit on the shoulders of one man, the coach. Maybe I was just under the diluted idea that football was a team sport. Anyways, I'm stepping down from my soapbox now. **note to Megan:** Roomie, I miss you tons! I miss listening to Jason Mraz and watching Gilmore Girls and being completely retarded with you! I'm so excited to get back and start the new semester even though we may kill ourselves with our classes. Just kidding. I got your message early this morning but didn't know if you'd be up at 3 :) Hope your party last night was hopping and you stayed out of too much trouble ;) I never know with you, you did date a criminal and all. Har har har, I'm funny.
