been there, done that

Feeling: young
Oh man, let me just say Kenny Chesney is hot, hot, hot! Beth and I went to see him last night in concert at the Iowa State Fair. He is very sexy! You can't deny, he's quite a hottie! Anyways, Beth and I left Omaha around 3:30, got into Des Moines at 6. On the way there, some guy passed us and the guy in the passenger seat stuck his upper body out the window and was doing some weird tongue thing at us, it was quite scary. When we got into DM, we ate at some pretty gross Chinese place (luckily, they didn't mess up the plain white rice). Then we went over to the Fair Grounds. We walked around for awhile, saw some carnies and what not, solved a murder, told a couple old guys that their air freshner smelled like seat belts, the usual fair-going activities. Then we went into the Grandstand at 7:20, the concert to begin at 8. A guy named Jeff Bates opened for Kenny. He has one song that we knew, I don't know the title though, but it's good. Maybe I'll KaZaA it later. While he played and Kenny's band set up, I stood in line for a tee shirt, which was like hell. It was really hot in the line and very smushed and everyone was very irritable. Beth waited for me by the wall and someone spilled beer on her foot. We made it out of there with my one tee shirt in time to get to our seats to see Kenny take stage. Oh white-hatted one, you are so hot! And I fully supported you last night with my money, as tickets cost $32 and my tee shirt was $25. That's 57 of my hard-earned dollars going to the "Kenny Chesney is hot" fund. The concert was a great time had by all, even though there was a pole that blocked me seeing him when he was standing right in the middle of the stage at the microphone stand. Good thing there was a big screen in front of us. Kenny Chesney looks even hotter when he's 50 feet tall! So anyways, the concert got out at 10:37, and we headed back to our car. It wasn't until a little after 11 that we actually got out of the parking lot. I saw that Jodi called my cell phone and I was like "what the heck, I couldn't even hear it at the concert". Then when I called my mom to tell her that we were leaving DM, she said Cindy had called my house to ask why I wasn't at Living Stone. There are two things to consider here: 1)i told Cindy on Wednesday that I was going to the KC concert and 2)why do people only call me when I am at a Kenny Chesney concert? Anyways, Beth and I got home at 1:45 this morning with major stomach aches from eating too much candy on the way home to keep us awake. One last Kenny picture to show just how hot he is! Look at those eyes! All pictures are courtesy of www.kchesney.com check it out. you know you love me ;)

"The Love Song" by Jeff Bates.
And my stomach still hurts, maybe I got food poisoning from that nasty put-beef-in-normal-fried-rice Chinese place.
It was awesome last night, Kenny Chesney is gorgeous. Now we just have to go see Tim. Next summer perhaps.
