2 days and counting

Time: 2:56 PM I am super bored. I've cleaned for a couple hours today but I am just not in the mood. Probably because I woke up early and now I need a nap! I am just not motivated today, I think it's the weather. It's kinda chilly out today and not sunny, very un-summer like. But at least there is not a lot of humidity. That's bad. Anyways, here's what I've been up to the last couple days since I last wrote. MONDAY I woke up late because I thought I didn't have anything to worry about having to do. But 10 minutes after I woke up, I realized I was going to the Joslyn Art Museum with my grandma to see a new show that just opened last weekend. Luckily, I had plenty of time to get all ready and everything. My grandma picked me up at 3:30 and we were off! My grammy cracks me up sometimes, she's so funny, and she doesn't even realize it. She took all these back routes to get there because she was worried about traffic on the interstate. It made me realize as we were driving through these neighborhoods that my grandmammy used to live in houses like these and she was a so-called country club wife. It's so weird to think about when I think how my dad turned out. He was definitely the rebel of the two sons. Anyways, we get down to the Joslyn and the show was awesome!! There were some Monets and Renoirs and Van Goghs and stuff, I didn't realize that there was going to be so many Impressionist artists. And yes, I know what the Impressionist movement was, I learned all about it junior year in French class. I also have visited Monet's house and gardens in Giverny, so it was cool to see some of his works (think waterlillies on a pond like in Titanic and you're thinking Monet). Anyway, after that, gramma and I met my mom (straight off work) at the Olive Garden and had a nice dinner. Mom and I usually don't eat out and if we do, it's not a nice restaurant like that! After dinner, I went with Mom and grandma headed home. My mom and I went to Lowe's, right next to the Olive Garden, and looked at a ton of stuff. Since I am busy cleaning my house, I'm trying to find stuff to redecorate rooms. My mom got all into it too until she remembered that she wants to move so why redecorate. I'm still working on talking her out of moving and into redecorating, but it's hard to argue with saving 40-60 thousand dollars on tuition in all my years of schooling. So, yeah, that was my Monday. TUESDAY Yesterday, my project was the yard. I didn't get much done though because it was hella hot. I went out and sprayed the weeds in the front yard and then I went and cut out our back porch tree. Or tried to. Mostly, I got the part that is growing up through the spaces in the deck. Stupid tree/bush thing. I would be perfectly happy to let it grow ANYWHERE in our yard but right underneath our porch. Seriously, what are the chances??!?! Anyways, then it was too hot outside (like 95 or something) so I came inside and cleaned for awhile. Lately though (yesterday and today) I have not been in the mood to clean. If we had more yard work to do or flowers to plant or something, I would be perfectly happy with that but we don't. Plus, it's hotter than hell outside (ok, probably not literally hotter than hell). Anyways, after a couple hours of work inside, I took a shower, and got all ready because Tuesday night is Dad night, even though I'm 19 now and technically an adult. He picked me up at 5 and we went to eat at Valentino's, I pigged out since I hadn't eaten much all day. Then we had an hour until our movie (The Italian Job) started at AMC 24 so we were going to go to Barnes and Noble and browse for awhile. But on the way, we witnessed a car accident so we stopped to help and leave our info in case our eyewitness account was needed. The girl whose fault it wasn't (she was turning left, the other car ran the light) went to Ralston and I recognized her. She was a friend of Missi Auten's and also in my Concepts class. So that was weird. Anyways, then we finally made it to B & N, but we only had like 10-15 minutes to browse. But, of course, in that span of time, I found like 10 books I wanted to buy. I'm such a dork, I know. Me and my bookworminess. I think I've read around 10 new books so far this summer and some ones that I've read before but wanted to read again. Anyways, then we went to see The Italian Job, good movie, and then my dad dropped me off. About ten minutes after I'd been home, Cindy called me. Her, Caroline, and I were talking on Sunday about getting together and watching Major Payne and so I went over there, we watched it, and Care and I spent the night. That's why I had to get up early, in case you were wondering (prolly not, huh?). Cindy had to go with her mom to take their van into the shop and she thought it'd be fun to wake us up at 7:23 AM and have us sit around until 9:30 because she didn't really have to get up that early. Cindy got on the computer and did her freaky wedding planning thing (seriously if you are making your guest list and you're not even close to being engaged, then you have a problem!) and Care and I laid there and wished we were still sleeping. Then I came home around 9:30 and have been hard at work ever since. Anyways, that's all for now, this journal entry has helped me to waste half an hour! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how the highlight of my day was when I got a letter and card from my best bud Randi, who I'm going to visit this weekend. I love mail!! :)
