Observation of the day

Feeling: contemplative
The birds in the trees by the gym were so loud today. December, and it sounds like spring. Maybe it IS just another spring for them. I just never thought about it that way. Birds leave the cold places, but I used to live in the cold so to me they were simply gone. I know where birds go, but it wasn’t the same. I can know something forever, but until I really SEE it, it means nothing. You never think about something once it’s gone. You get used to it, it becomes normal, and you are so wrapped up in trying to live your own life. Who thinks about the birds, for goodness sake??! Who thinks about anything? I’m so busy trying to get through the day, that I barely give a passing consideration to anything beside myself. Selfish. Self-absorbed in the attempt to find my OWN refuge. Everybody needs to take a step back more often. If you don’t, there is no scope and you are blind to the world. Focus is a tool which prevents you from seeing. I change and loose mine continually, which is why I never get anywhere... The more I see, the more I realize the observations of men are meaningless. It is only stupidity, or at best, merely the obvious. All I discover is what I already know. Dizzying.. (and I came up with all that.. just from hearing a simple sound.)

No, my friend, that trip into the atmosphere was free to me. It was on NASA.

[and I'm so not a supernerdgenious, I'm just lucky]

You're right--people need to slow down and rest and think about things for a little while. Everything's so nownownow that there's little time to enjoy life, to enjoy thought or time alone.

Have a great day.

Who knows when it comes to change? Spring to winter. It's cold here in the winter, but not as cold in Florida. So maybe the birds from Virginia fly to Florida, thinking that it's like spring there. You never know. Anyway, that's my useless thought for today. It's my second day on here, and I'm just browsing. I saw your comment on Ashley's site, and thought I'd stop by. Quite enjoyable.
