Wheeze...

Feeling: wet
Yep. I did the homecoming thing- my very last homecoming too. It kinda sucked, but it was still fun. I was at school from 7 in the morning until about 11:30 because they make you stay for the homecoming parade, and there's not enough time for there to be any point in going home. As you can imagine, all this stuff left me pretty tired. I got really pissed off because some of the people in band were unprepared and just generally screwing off and being jerks. The trumpets didn't bring their music to the stands so we practically didn't have any melody and it sounded like absolute crap, and people kept on throwing stuff. After the game, we're supposed to line up and march back to the band room. I always thought it was pretty cool because we like snake around and double back on our own line to give each other fives n fun stuff like that.. and it's better than just breaking up on the feild and going back our own separate ways- it gives kind of a sense of togetherness and it's just plain fun. But some loosers tried to just walk off the field, and there were people who decided that they didn't like snaking around and just decided to march straight and take all the fun out of it, and there were people who wouldn't yell during our cadence.. Hehe.. I had to poke the stupid freshman in front of me in the back.. I was like: "why," ::poke:: "aren't" ::poke:: "you" ::poke:: "yell" ::poke:: "-ing??!" (hahaa he probly thought I was a bitch.. too bad.. :-p) He said he "didn't feel like it"!! The entire reason we are THERE is to "feel like it", and if you don't do anything it just makes the entire band look like lame-ass shit. I don't care how tired you are!!! I had a sore throat and I still screamed like heck. Now I'm kinda screwed up because my throat is raw, but who cares... I'm not even that into it or anything- I'm not crazy about it like my nerdy friends, but If you're going to do something at all you damn well better do a decent job of it. Grrr.. So it sucked in that respect, and I didn't get to sit next to my friends like I normally do, but I still enjoyed it and I feel I did pretty well (even though I DID miss a rehearsal and didn't know exactly what I was doing). It was kinda weird too because I was being all positive. I'm never positive. But I felt like I had to since I'm a Senior an' all.. somebody's got to have a little confidence. So I did it for the little Freshmen. lol.. One thing was pretty funny though- for one of our songs the cheerleaders have to a little dance, so we played it as fast as we could just to watch 'em move.. heheheheh.. it was great. "They're kind of like our bitches". :-p hehee. Oh and another plus- for once I actually managed to get some candy before the pigs in the first row ate it all. (grr.. percussion..) The candy bucket is always empty before it gets to me.. Haha. We lost too. 28 to 20. Meh. Whatever. I never really pay much attention to the game anyways. I'm always too busy playing, or looking around and trying to figure out who's throwing stuff, trying to get a drink of water, asking the person behind me to kindly take their foot out of my back... you know- all the important stuff. :-p This probably sounds completely out of place here, and it is, but I love rabble. It's fun.. sometimes chaos is just.. cool somehow..
