Ahhh the memories

You know those places that you grew up at? I'm not saying the house that you live at now, but was there ever a certain place (babysitters house, extended family's house) that you always went to when you were little? I always went to my babysitters, which was right next door to my grandma's house. It was pretty much a second home for me. If i wasn't as my house, I was there. I always had kids to play with too. There were always plenty of other kids to use my imagination with and if they weren't there, I was always at my grandma's house. It was great growing up there too. Plenty of neighbors kids near my age. I have tons and tons of memories of cops and robbers, house...just tons of thigns. They had a fun yard too. There was a tree house in the back of the house and we would always pretend it was a space ship or just a ship. Certain people would have certain jobs and certain things they had to do. lol...I remember every so often we would pretend like we were smoking "twigs" and their mom would get really mad at us. But i guess it was the "cool rebel thing" to do. Stupid media. It was so great. My childhood was amazing. But back to the point. I haven't been there for at least 5 years. I wsa running an errand for my dad and had to drop something off at their house. It was wierd. I stepped on the porch and all these memories came rushing back to me. Although the environment had changed a little and they did some remodeling, it still felt the same. I don't knw how to explain it...this feeling just took over by body. It was like i was a kid again or something. I don't know...wierd stuff. I am now sitting in a hotel. Doing nothing. But no worries for i am going to sit in a hot tub in a few minutes. Not only is it a hot tub, but it's a hot tub outside. Those are the best. The one thing i hate about hot tubs is that the steam will rise and you can't breathe. It's like your in this huge gastly steam room. But when it's outside....oh man. The wind and breeze will just brush it away, but you're not cold becusae the water is so warm. The best is when it snows. It's only happened once and was about 2 years ago. It was a class trip and we were all just sitting in this huge outdoor hot tub when it started snowing. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the fact that I didn't like all the peopel there and it would have been better if it was more of my friends, then my classmates, but it was awesome and something that I knew i probably wouldn't experience very often. Not sure if it will even happen again. Ahhh....what great memories.

Ahh, I love taking long walks down memory lane.

I had a great childhood, too! :D yay! Yay for not being dysfunctional! although it is rather trendy these days.

I think I prefer my perfect childhood to a bit of fad following though.
I know what you mean about the whole childhood thing. There's places I hadn't been to for a long time, and I went to one of them a little while ago and it made me think of all these things about when I was younger...hmm...
