I'm probably not doing it right

What happens in Vegas... sometimes follows you home. Or tries to at least.

Of all the guys I could have picked up in a bar how do I mannage to find a very dateable one... who lives a thousand miles away.

At the same time I did meet a new guy who I'm super excieted about and I'm trying not to get to overexcited about and read into things too much but.... he kind of seems perfect for me. He's smart and funny he's tall and cute... he's like my college best friend except straight which is perfect as I was in love with that gay man lol.

I have this weird habit of bringing up cirspr technology on first dates. I don't know why I do it but it's a thing that facinates me and something alwasy reminds me of it and I'll bring it up. 98% of the time the guy looks at me like I'm super weird and says something like, "So you're like smart-smart aren't you?" But Derek brought it up before I did!!

We also went out to an art thing in town with one of his friends and it went well... he said he really wants friends first and I'm all for that... but like I'm sure sure more will be amazing I'm just trying not to rush it or get ahead of myself.

Hey Meg!

whats going on? Still doing it right? :-)

I rarely drink coffee with strange guys :) But the idea is nice. Of course its good to have friends - those are wiping the loneliness away. I have beer with my kindergarden friend sometimes.
Believe it or not Mr Vegas is going to come visit me in October- he's got his ticket! Also just friends.... but it's nice to have those too!

He would have come earlier but he's going to GERMANY for two weeks... maybe he'll have coffee with you ;)
I have a conspiracy theroy about that he brought it up first :D - just kidding.

If it works already as a 'friend' thing i hope it will develop for what you're hoping for. The One living a thousand miles away... i know that feeling aswell. On the other hand i always feels like just keep wishing for something i can't reach. Thanks to you for always stopping by. I really appreciate that. And i would invite you on a coffee - but wrong continent ;)
