my last post was in 2008! I can't believe how much has happened in my life since then! it's been a nutty year (almost two). It's rough, but I've been made a stronger, wiser person through it all. God is good!

I'm looking at buying a car from a local used car lot. The people there SEEM nice enough. I'm looking at a 98 Ford Conture. They are asking for a little over $4000 for it. According to Kelly Blue Book (online) it's only worth $2930. I'm no fool. I'm going to show the a little print out that I have and show them how ridiculous they are. Hopefully, they'll come down at least a little. I wouldn't mind paying even $3500 for it. I'll try and negotiate with them. TRY is all I can do I guess.

The storm came and went. It was as bad as expected, maybe worse. We lost electricity tuesday morning around 6am. I happend to be caught in the elevator when it happended. That was interesting. Much of the state still doesn't have electricity. All of my family is okay. My electricity was restored a couple of days ago, but there are still many many many people that don't have power. I feel bad for them. I wish I could do something. My apartment is much too small to let people crash there. Most of the ice has melted away, but it's snowed since then. I'm sure that's slowing down progress as far as getting power restored. We only got 3-5 inches. Not bad I suppose. Other than the weather things are going great. I can't wait untill 2007 is finally over. It was a rough year.

We're suppose to have a pretty bad winter storm tonight. On one hand...I don't like storms and I want to to stay far far far away from me. On the other hand...if it storms TOO badly my supervisor will call off work. Esspecially if there's no electricity. It WOULD be nice to have the day off. On the OTHER hand I DO need the hours. I know that's like 3 hands. And, I only have two...that's WHY my TITLE and my CURRENT MOOD are both TORN. lol.

HA! I wish! It's above freazing....about 39. I'm thankful for that, it feals nice. All the snow and ice are melting away. Even still Abilene just doesn't look the same. Many of the limbs broke off the trees due to the weight of the ice from monday nights storm. There's talk of another strom on Friday. I hope it's not too bad. I'd be bummed if my brother and his family coudln't make it to Kansas for Christmas.

So....wow, It's December already! Where did 2007 go? I had big plans for this year and not one of them worked out. I guess there's always 2008. Or IS there? Huh..?? The weather here is not good. Last night I tried to watch Bewitched. I thought it was a really good movie. I fell asleep before it was over (go figure). I guess it's on again tonight so I'll give it another go. I deleted all my entires. I guess I should brave the weather again. I have to get home and get some chores done. Also, I have to start thinking about what to fix for dinner NOW becuase it'll take me the next 5-6 hours to decide on something. Better e-mail Greg.

I must say that I'm pretty sad to see 2007 go. It was sort of a rough year. Not only in my life, but in general I think. Kansas had a lot of rough weather this year. There was some flooding this spring. Some tornados. An ice strom this winter was pretty rough. I'm just ready for 2008. I want to so something amazing in 2008. I'm not sure what it will be...I'll think of something.
