church

church was amazing this morning. there was a guy who i think was from some part of africa but now preaches in england. and he gave an awesome message. then there was a guy, only a year or two older than me, that was telling about a trip that the church sponsored him to go on. he went to guatamala for his spring break and was tellin us about it. it was just awesome. i really enjoyed the preacher from england though. he really touched me with his message. our preacher then remarked after him and told us about a guy who went on a missionary back in the early 1900's and everyone kept asking him why he was dedicating his life to that and that he could do so much more and they were saying that it was a waste. his response to him was, "i dont look at it that way, i see it as giving my life to Jesus and everyone else." then when he was 25 he got cerebral-menengitis and died but as soon as his death reached the world hundreds and hundreds of letters were sent to his family thanking them for his faith in God and the impact that he had on so many peoples lives. i just thought it was such an awesome service, and i figured, hey such an awesome message was shared with me why not share it with everyone else. afterall we arent put on this earth to serve any other purpose than to serve God. our time here may not be long but it isnt about that. its about our committment to serving God, and in turn we will be rewarded with the gift of eternal life in a perfect world. God's world-Heaven. Chris
