cathrin emailed me back (this makes me happy). Apparently she was in Turkey for a week (going on trips such as these are a frequent thing in her family- i wish i was a Hahn) and had just gotten back. She's turning eighteen!(she doesn't want to be eighteen-she thinks you're old when you're eighteen) and she's learning to drive (she's reportedly a horrible driver), which is good, but the poor girl isn't as close to any of her friends as she used to be and her sister is dating her ex-boyfriend. perhaps the strange unrightness in her life will unwrong itself.
