Engle - what!?

hm. it's been interesting today so far ... thanks, Stace. i like the colors too. they remind me of a hybiscus, or whatev. that flower is. lol. i could used to get a little more educated. so some stuff's gone down today at the home that's just not right. weird stuff. don't feel like elaboarting. today's goals include cleaning my room, making a list of goals for the summer, and making a budget. almost all my graduation money has been spent ... which is, yikes. mind you i haven't withdrawn any money from the bank in awhile, and the last two paychecks have been deposited, as well as a grad check or two ... well i prob have about $100 left. i'm going to watch it very carefully. i have a TV (two, actually), a hamper, a shoe hanger thing, a flat iron, a blow dryer, a laundry basket, two wash clothes, two towles, a comforter, and iron ... some other stuff. i've also bought my own summer clothes this summer. sometimes it's just best to ... do things yourself and let it go unsaid once in awhile. i also have 5 magazine subscriptions, which i'll love, and i truly hope they'll be an investment. lol. i REALLY wanted to subscribe to US News & World Report too, but i figured well ... i don't even know if i'll have time to read what i've ordered the way it is, no less i think i get free complementary subscriptions to USA Today and some local papers. so it's really not necessary. oh yeah, i got a magazine rack too. last night was just plain AWESOME. mand called me after church and said she forgot to tell me, but her dance recital was that night @ the Joslyn. my dad was in a good mood and gave up on the whole "I need to take you on the interstate before you go alone," thing. which is good. the first time i went off driving on my own, i accidently ended up on Kennedy Freeway, and survived that. so i didn't think it would be a big deal. it really wasn't, but man, the first time i accidently got on the interstate, it really wasn't that scarry because, well, i had no time to think about ... the only thing i thought about was getting off at the nearest exit and winding my way back around. this time i had time to think about it, however, and let's just say a LOT of praying was done, i was hyperventalating, and i thought i was going to have a myocardial infarction. LOL! anyways ... it's like one big ... skating rink out there. crazy stuff. anyways, i made it by GOD'S GRACE ... lol ... took the wrong exit but got my bearings and anyways, yeah, unknowingly bypassed a parking attendent @ the Joslyn and i got free parking!! i think it may have been reserved for a wedding party, but i didn't find out about that 'till AFTER the fact, so, sorry everyone! haha. anyways i think it was alright. so i find my way to the theater, and i'm walkin down the isles tryin to find Vince and Linda (her 'rents) and Al and Nick start yellin @ me and waving. Al, Jess (his kind-of-gf), and Nick had saved me a seat. the performance was wayyyy long and boring. Mand did WONDERFUL. she's so graceful and beautiful, as always, but aside from that, everyone was in 6-10 songs, and it was just really unnecessary. 3 hours, a 10 minute intermission, and a broken-and-fixed phone later, we were outta there! Jess and Al left right away before seeing Mand cuz they were tired. Al was so funny. He said goodnight and he started to give me a hug, like usual, but glanced @ Jess and turned it into a really awkard high-five. I love that kid. He's nothing but good intentions. After that Nick and I spent time lookin for Mand, found her, and decided we wanted to go out to eat. I said I'd proven to myself that I could take the interstate, and now it was no longer necessary for me to take it, so I'd be going home the 72nd and Dodge way. Nick said that was good - it would give him some time to run by an ATM machine, because he was going to take I80, 480, etc whatev. (haha) home. So we decided to meet @ Applebee's in Papillion, and whoever got there first would reserve a table for three under the name Englebert (I think.) It was Engle-something. That was the funny part. So anyways, I find my way back to Dodge and am workin my way up in numbers (Mand and Nick had to walk to his car in another parking lot) when Nick passes me. That kid drives, seriously, an average of AT LEAST 25 MPH over the speed limit. It might be partially cuz it was night, but anyways, I decide hey ... it's a good idea to follow him home, just in case I don't know the way home as well as I think I do. Well, just to keep up with him, I had to go darn nearly as fast, which was absolutely ... not good and freaky (and I was just sure I was going to get pulled over) but it was that or ... loose my way. I think he took a diff. route than I would have ... I think I would have taken Dodge to 84th ... yeah I would have. But anyways, it was hilarious, in a weird kind of way. I soooo did not want to loose him, so every time he changed lanes, I changed ... and he'd stop fast, so I'd stop fast and my breaks would squeel a little. Well Mand knew it was me followin them, but Nick didn't. He didn't care, but he was wondering, the whole time, who the heck it was. So anyways, I go home, get my $10 Applebees giftcard from my room, and drive over to Applebees. Evidently Mand and Nick were already there (I had driven around the parking lot and didn't see his car, and was just sure they weren't there yet because I had memorized his plate number tryin not to loose him on the way home, lol). Anyways, evidently they had gone in and Mand said, "Table for three for Engle ... wood. Engle ... humper. Engle ..." and she couldn't remember the name!! Neither could I. I had only written "Engle" down on my hand. And Nick said, "Just, a table for three. There's another girl that will be joining us." So when I walk in, I said, "Table for three for Engle..." and there was a girl already holding the door open for me. "Are you with a couple?" she asked. "Yeah ..." And she pointed me to them. It was HILARIOUS. So anyways, I got an apetizer plate, as I'm accustomed to getting, Mand got desert, and Nick got a meal. We all shared. Got home about 11:00. Some times are just so good you can't put them into words.
